Greetings brothers and sisters of the remnant church. We pray ALL is very well with you, your families, church families, ministries, and your walk with the Lord. We continue to live in extremely solemn times. In spite of the uncertainty of the times, we can rest assured with the encouraging promise that Jesus still wants our hearts. Does the Bible confirm this? "My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways" {Proverbs 23:26}. Not exactly sure how to give your entire heart to Jesus? Just ask Him - He loves us so much and He's surely waiting to take your entire heart even now. He gave all that He had on the cross at Calvary for us and He wants to take all that we have in order to perfectly reproduce His character in us. What a Savior!

Seeing Is Believing:
The Residual Impact
of the
Sanitarium Work

"In the days of Christ there were no sanitariums in the Holy Land. But wherever He went, He Himself was a sanitarium. The Great Physician carried with Him the healing efficacy that was a cure for every disease, spiritual and physical." {Loma Linda Messages, p. 72A.1}

"For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps." {1 Peter 2:21}

"He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked." {1 John 2:6}

In the very first chapter of the beautiful book, "The Ministry of Healing," we are given powerful counsel that echoes the counsel our dear brothers Peter & John both wrote to us in 1 Peter 2:21 and 1 John 2:6. The title of Chapter 1 is simply entitled "Our Example."

"The Saviour made each work of healing an occasion for implanting divine principles in the mind and soul. This was the purpose of His work. He imparted earthly blessings, that He might incline the hearts of men to receive the gospel of His grace."
"Christ might have occupied the highest place among the teachers of the Jewish nation, but He preferred rather to take the gospel to the poor. He went from place to place, that those in the highways and byways might hear the words of truth. By the sea, on the mountainside, in the streets of the city, in the synagogue, His voice was heard explaining the Scriptures. Often He taught in the outer court of the temple, that the Gentiles might hear His words." {The Ministry of Healing, pp 20,21}

The Great Physician was often approached privately (Nicodemus, the rich young ruler, etc.), however, He never preached, taught, or healed privately or in secret. He never minced His words; Jesus always spoke it plain. Even when He resurrected Lazarus from the dead, He strategically calculated the event so that there would be plenty of eye witnesses. Jesus never did anything without a specific purpose. Notice what our Master has to say about this powerful miracle He performed in the raising of a dead man. Let's pick it up in verse 41 of John 11, when He begins to pray to our Father:

41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead (Lazarus) was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Oh my dear brother/sister, did you get the lesson? Jesus tells us in verse 42 of John 11 that the reason He prayed out loud was because of the people that were within hearing distance. Why? So that they would believe that He was indeed the Son of God, sent by the Eternal Father. Let's go one step further and let the Bible speak:

45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

Beautiful lesson indeed. There's an old saying in the world, which is, "Seeing is believing." Have you ever heard this saying? Is it possible that old saying is rooted in the Word of God and the work of the Master and His perfect Heavenly method of winning souls to Himself? Let's go a step further and magnify this principle in the context of the medical missionary work of the disciples. Notice this lesson from the book of Acts, chapter 9, and the result of Peter performing a healing miracle amongst witnesses:

32 And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.
33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.
34 And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.

Now notice the result of Peter's public healing miracle:

35 And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.

Another powerful Biblical lesson brothers and sisters; that is, the influence, impact, and power of viewing the work of the Lord first hand. But I need you to notice a few very important key points in verses 34 and 35.

  • Aeneas was healed not by Peter, but in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • Aeneas was made whole. That word "whole" in the original Greek translates to mean "to cure or to heal; to free from errors and sins; to bring about one's salvation!"
  • The Bible says "ALL" that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw this event, and as a result, they were all converted.

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

"We have come to a time when every member of the church should take hold of medical missionary work... The members of the church are in need of an awakening, that they may realize their responsibility to impart these truths." {Testimonies, Vol. 7, p. 62.1}

"You will never be ministers after the gospel order till you show a decided interest in medical missionary work, the gospel of healing and blessing and strengthening." {Counsels on Heath, p. 533.2}

"I wish to tell you that soon there will be no work done in ministerial lines but medical missionary work. The work of a minister is to minister. Our ministers are to work on the gospel plan of ministering."{Counsels on Heath, p. 533.1}

The Lorien Upcountry Outpost Center
With the humble blessing of our assistant multi-media production coordinator, Sister Volemi Muyoma, LMM has inherited 11.4 acres of prime land in West-Central Kenya. Sister Volemi is our local point person and facilitator for this important project. The size and location of this rural parcel is in perfect harmony with God's Plan for evangelizing the cities there - close enough to work them but far enough to avoid their influence. Please keep us in prayer as we follow God's lead in developing this so very needed African Outpost. More info coming soon!

Thank You.

"And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet." {Acts 4:32,34-37}

"We are so very grateful for your past, present, and future support of this ministry. However, we need and appreciate your continued ongoing help in spreading the present truth for this time. God continues to open the door wider and wider for LMM to work, but this has never been a solo effort. Thank you for your consideration in partnering with us to prepare a people to stand, and to finish the gospel work worldwide. The gifts you share with us will be used to provide assistance for outpost development, personal ministry, literature evangelism (domestically & abroad), literature mail campaigns, work in foreign fields, various benevolent pledges for the poor and destitute, sheltering the homeless, and medical missionary work, as well as acquiring the necessary tools, equipment and multi-media facilities to aid in spreading God’s last solemn message. Thank you in advance."
