CTC HELPS CITIES BE PREPARED BEFORE THE EVENT HAPPENS

CTC Disaster Response (CTC) has been in business for 24 years and in disaster debris removal for 18 years following Hurricane Katrina. They have helped in the aftermath of tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, wind damage, and wildfires in 28 states, with a 100% safety record. TMS is helping CTC grow in Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties, providing introductions to cities, counties, school districts, FPL, and others who must be prepared. CTC works with FDOTs to help clear roads after hurricanes and other catastrophic events. They can respond immediately, often staging staff and equipment pre-landfall. TMS is pleased to help connect CTC with local decision-makers to ensure a speedy clean-up.

WHERE HAS SAMMIE BEEN?

Sammie recently attended the Leadership Palm Beach County Celebration and Graduation, to celebrate the graduating class of the 2023 Engage program and outstanding alumni presented with the Leadership Excellence award. This event recognized the accomplishments of the Engage program participants and encouraged them to continue their journey of leadership and community service.

Sammie also attended the Speak Up For Kids Palm Beach County Ambassador Social event. As a board member, Sammie passionately advocates for children and young adults in foster care. This event provided an opportunity for community members, leaders, and volunteers to come together and raise awareness about the challenges faced by those in foster care. Sammie actively engaged in discussions, listened to personal stories, and exchanged ideas with fellow attendees, all with the goal of improving the lives of these deserving individuals.

SALLY SAYS, BY SALLY MERCHANT

My favorite times of day are when we leave for work and when we go home. Eating happens around those times plus I LOVE riding in the car. We should drive somewhere less hot. Bulldogs are NOT crazy about hot weather, and I really hate thunderstorms. I pretend to guard Mom, but really, I am just nervous. Now Uncle Jim says he and Mom are traveling for some of June and July… Who will I pretend to guard? I guess Aunt Bon or Uncle Todd…? I will try not to show my shaky legs when the thunder booms. By the way, lots of my friends said they would sign my petition to start a National American Bulldog Day. That is my goal. Otherwise, I really will have to become a professional Chihuahua eater and steal their day! Maybe I should aim for a whole month of appreciation…? And chicken. A girl can dream.

That’s all for now.
