Take Action Tuesday:
Love Our Neighbors
Last Sunday we had the opportunity to hear from our mission partner Advocates for Immigrants in Detention Northwest (AIDNW). Illegal stops and arrests are affecting families throughout the Eastside. What can we, as individuals, do to help?
The Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN) has loads of information about how we can help our neighbors. Keep the Deportation Defense Hotline number (844-724-3737) handy in case you see illegal activity or to share with neighbors. It connects immigrants with resources including legal assistance and support following detention.
WAISN trains volunteers to respond to reported immigration-enforcement activity, document what is happening, support affected families and connect people with resources. Volunteers receive training before joining a local team.

Check in with an immigrant neighbor, write elected officials about immigration policies that concern you, or share WAISN information with friends and community groups.
