Pride Sunday!

A reminder we have our prayer service and potluck breakfast this coming Sunday 6/28! All are welcome, whether you bring something or not. The prayer service will be in the sanctuary and on zoom at 10am like usual, followed by a potluck breakfast celebration in the Great Hall. 

If you’d like to join those marching in the Seattle Pride parade, we’ll meet between Columbia St and Cherry St on 4th Avenue between 12:30 and 1:15. We’ll be joined by other affirming presbyterian churches in Seattle presbytery, including Woodland Park Pres, Northminster Pres, Madrona Grace Pres, Magnolia Pres, St. Andrews Pres, Japanese Pres, Wallingford Pres, Queen Anne Pres, and a few clergy members serving in validated ministries (not in churches). It should be a great time! 

Newport’s Riverton United Methodist Church June Drive

First, we want to thank all those members and friends who have already emptied their closets on behalf of the refugees, asylum seekers and house and food insecure guest currently receiving assistance from Riverton Park Church. At the end of our first week, you are all doing an amazing job supporting this drive, thank you.

As our photo of our Drive posters was a little difficult to read in the Newsletter, we have typed up a list here that will, hopefully, be easier to read. (Please see below.)
