SPECIAL COMMISSION ON OSTEOPATHIC
MEDICAL LICENSURE ASSESSMENT
NBOME’s Special Commission on Osteopathic Medical Licensure Assessment was formed in February 2021 in response to the suspension of the COMLEX-USA Level 2-PE. It has already endorsed the Temporary Pathways for the Classes of 2020 and 2021. Work continues for the Class of 2022 and on a review of the entire COMLEX-USA examination program, evaluating defensible alternative pathways for verification or assessment of fundamental clinical skills and other competencies, and assuring that the COMLEX-USA licensure examination pathway continues to evolve with the rapidly changing practice of osteopathic medicine, osteopathic medical education and health care.
MATCH 2021 RECORD NUMBERS FOR DO SENIORS
Despite a year of many hardships, we are overjoyed to announce that this year’s NRMP Main Match was the largest ever, and a record-seting 6,327 DO seniors matched to first-year positions across the US!
