June 2018

NEW time, NEW topic, SAME location!

This summer we'll "Worship in Christ" together at 10 AM, singing His praises, sharing Community in His Holy Supper, and Growing as Christians in His Word. Our summer sermon series "I AM..." will look at God's attributes, personality and identity.  After all, how can we love, worship, and share Him with others unless we really get to know Him? Let's come and celebrate His name!

Property Work Day

A huge THANK YOU to a great team of hard, sweaty workers.  It was hot.  We drank some water.  We had a lot of good conversations.  The kids, including two boys and a truck, worked as hard as the adults!  And we got a lot of work done.  We trimmed all the shrubs, cleaned out overgrown areas, raked debris, cut tree limbs, piled yard waste in a huge pile, fixed a door and blew out the parking lots, walk ways and courtyard.  We could never completed all that work without all of you.  It's amazing what the Holy Spirit can do with a team of dedicated Lutherans like us!  Thanks be to God!

Blessing of our High School Seniors

On Sunday, May 13 we had a blessing of our High School Seniors. Pictured above:  Taylor McGuire, Rachel Board and Nick Klug. Not pictured is Katelyn Ochoa, who is also graduating. Congratulations Seniors!!

An excerpt from Jesus Calling - June 4

Welcome challenging times as opportunities to Trust Me. You have Me beside you and My Spirit within you, so no set of circumstances is too much for you to handle. When the path before you is dotted with difficulties, beware of measuring your strength against those challenges. That calculation is certain to riddle you with anxiety. Without Me, you wouldn't make it past the first hurdle!

The way to walk through demanding days is to grip My hand tightly and stay in close communication with Me. Let your thoughts and spoken words be richly flavored with trust and thankfulness. Regardless of the day's problems, I can keep you in perfect Peace as you stay close to Me.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds.
-James 1:2

I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
-Philippians 4:13

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
-Isaiah 26:3
