Taylor is an impressive, top tier athlete and young lady. One who has set high goals and commits the work ethic necessary to achieve those goals. On the mound, Taylor reminds us of Greg Maddux with excellent accuracy and spin. She trains with Jess Martinson (714.883.1324) the lead pitching coach for Bruce Richardson's So Cal Athletics. In the field, Taylor is quick and rangy. She has a cannon arm with a recorded speed of 72mph. As a hitter she is consistent and has sneaky power! Taylor plays for Athletics Jendro-Wayne 16u. Academically, Taylor has a 4.83 GPA and a 1450 SAT, and is pursuing a degree in Engineering or Criminology.

Ashlie Alshouse has been one of the top athletes in San Diego county through her career. She is a quick and athletic defender with a strong arm. Ashlie is a consistent hitter with gap power. A team leader and friendly personality. A 3.89 GPA pursuing a degree in Teaching/Counselling or Architecture.

Athletic and mobile with 1.7-1.8 pop time. Lefty hitter with 2.85 speed. 4.0 GPA pursuing Psychology/Law.

Sophie Youngberg is an impressive young gal with a determined and communicative personality. athletic, quick, and communicative catcher and middle infielder. Sophie's mom, Cheryl Palaroan Youngberg played softball at Ohio State in the mid-90's for Linda Kalafatis. With drive and determination, Sophie trains weekly to hone her hitting and catching skills with some of the best coaches in Northern California, including Sarah Woofter and Julie Marshall. Sophie's pop time is 1.7-1.8 from both her knees and her feet, her running speed is 2.85 home to first, and offensively she a four tooled lefty with power. An impressive and positive young gal, Sophie has the catcher’s demeanor to lead a top ranked team and pitching staff. Academically, Sophie has earned a 4.0 GPA and is pursuing a degree in psychology and a career in Law. Sophie plays for Sorcerer Williams 18u. 

Trains with Mike Stith and Sara Hayes. 1.65-1.75 pop time. Pure power. Squats 205+ and hits bombs. 3.83 GPA pursuing a career in Law. LAST WEEKEND: 10-13 with 3 3-run homeruns and 2 doubles

Katie Whittaker is an unstoppable, motivated beast as a second baseman and catcher. Katie also plays 3b, SS, and outfield. Katie comes from a historied sports family. Her mom (Cristy Stippey) played softball and set the home run record at Oregon State, her aunt played softball at CSU Fullerton, her uncle played MLB, and her brother plays college baseball. Katie trains with Sara Hayes and Mike Stith and plays for Ryan Fullerton of the OC Batbusters Bennett/Fullerton. Last season, Katie hit .414 with a .647 SLG. Her bat speed average is 73.5 as recorded on Blast and she recently squatted 205. Katie’s athleticism and strength make her a top level 2022. Academically, Katie has earned a 3.83 GPA and intends to pursue a career in Law.

Ava Chavarria is an athletic, quick, and communicative catcher and infielder. With drive and determination, Ava has trained weekly to hone her hitting and catching skills with some of the best coaches in Southern California, including Mike Stith and Sara Hayes. In October's On Deck testing, Ava increased her Allister Index to 98.34 and threw 68 mph. Ava’s pop time is 1.6-1.7 from both her knees and her feet, her bat speed is 70.5, and offensively she has consistent gap power. An impressive and positive young gal, Ava has the catcher’s demeanor to lead a top ranked team and pitching staff. Academically, Ava has earned a 3.9 GPA. Ava plays for OC Batbusters Bracamonte 18u.

Austin Comstock is a beasty combination of speed and power. Standing 5’9 and weighing 170, Austin brings tremendous natural power to the game. In 16 games this summer, Austin hit .542 AVG, 8 extra base hits and 14 RBIs. She is a power hitting lefty. Her home runs are booming, and her doubles usually dent the fence. Austin also runs 2.7 down the line and is an impressively heady base runner. In the 16 games, she scored 13 runs. As a true lefty, Austin plays left field, right field, and catcher. Austin’s personality is one of a winner: easy to coach, exceptional teammate, and driven to make herself and those around her better. That personality coupled with her unique combination of size is what makes Austin a top level 2022. Austin has earned a 3.9 GPA and intends to pursue a psychology degree with a career servicing military veterans. Austin plays for Athletics Jendro 18u Premier.

Athletics Jendro/Wayne 18u
Athletics Jendro-Wayne 18u is a high performing, high-academic team of dedicated young ladies with the goal of continuing their educations and playing college softball. With a 3.83 team GPA, the roster is stacked with college-ready student-athletes. 

The 2021 class is led by pitchers Taylor Wayne (4.83) and Katie Katsuyama (Committed to MIT). Both command their pitches and the strike zone. Taylor also plays SS and OF and has a strong bat and overhand arm strength. Katie is a left-handed slapper with game-changing foot speed. CF Ava Quezada (4.5) and SS Katie Croxall (4.0) bat 1 & 2 in the order and are great table setters and solid defenders. Power-hitting 1B Makayla Torres (3.9) will make you do a double take on some of her HR’s. She is usually in the team lead in AVG, HR and RBI. Gold glove 3B Tymarie Hutchinson (3.0) locks down the hot corner with a big glove and strong arm and hits in the middle of the order with gap-to-gap power. SS/2B Angelina Hooper (3.8) plays a solid middle with good instincts and speed. This class is rounded out by speedy catcher Taylar Lannon (3.6) and big-hitting outfielder Hailey Martinez (Signed to Hope International).  

The 2022 class consists of strong-arm catcher Taylor Martinez (3.6). Taylor will shut down a run game with one throw from her D1 arm. 1B Ashlynn Ortiz (4.0) is a big hitting 1B with power to all fields. Mckenna Siebert (3.6) is a solid 2B/UTL with a consistent bat and good speed.  

Last but not least are 2023’s Mia Grasse (3.94) and Jaden Cady (4.4). Mia is a OF/2B with a good bat and great attitude. Jaden is a lock-down defender with great game instincts, strong arm and a permanent smile.

SDR is comprised of 14 unsigned players (6 seniors and 8 juniors). Most players are high academic GPA’s. SDR philosophy is to develop athletes into their senior year and to assist finding the right college match athletically and academically. Game Day 16u is a mix of 21s and 22s with big bats. We have 11 players hitting over .300 and hitting nearly .400 as a team. 2022 catcher Isabella Lester is leading the team with a .750 BA, 1.000 SLO and .824 OBP. Followed by 2021 catcher Annelise Garcia (CSUEB commit) is leading the team with 6 HRs, 2 triples, 18 RBIs and a 2.004 OPS. 2022 pitcher Keira Cahalan is hitting .481 with a team leading 7 doubles and 12 runs scored while striking out 31 batters in 27 innings. Some other key players in our offense are lead off CF Hailey Castanon (2022) is hitting .379, clean up hitter, 2B Desirae Bally (2022) is hitting .350 And .571 with runners on base.

On the defensive side our pitching staff is keeping opponents to a BA under .270. 2022 Lainie McClintick has struck out 16 in 17.1 innings pitched. Our pitchers all complement each other with different movement and velocity. Behind them is a solid defense where the tone is set by uncommitted 2021 Haley Zepeda at SS. Haley has great defensive instincts and keeps the team loose and confident. Another strong defensive key for us is utility player 2022 Kaydence Kinder can play anywhere with great arm strength and footwork.
