FEBRUARY 2026 LETTER
THE POWER OF THE WORD by: Vimarie Montaño
The mind is part of our body, and if the word of God doesn't transform it, it can cause problems for the believer. If the mind isn't aligned with the word of God, it won't be possible for us as believers to embrace all that the Lord has designed for us.
When we make a declaration of faith, according to the word of God, in any circumstance in our lives, when we try to understand, or reason with our minds, doubt and unbelief enter in, and we take away the power of what we have declared. The mind cannot comprehend the spiritual. Just believe, and don't doubt God's established word!
The Word of God is what helps us transform our minds, our thoughts, and our way of life. The power is in the Word of God. Through the Word, God formed the world, and everything He does in our lives is through His Word. Jesus defeated the enemy with the Word. Likewise, we will overcome through the Word.
Take authority from the Word of God, which is already established for whatever you need it for. The Word is our foundation, which the Lord has established for us to live by. If we choose not to obey it, we cannot benefit from it. We can be Christians for many years and continue living the same way because we haven't allowed the Word to transform our lives. The Lord's will is that we be transformed from glory to glory. This is His divine will for us as His children. We cannot say we are in the process if we haven't allowed the Word to transform our lives year after year. Something has to happen within us for the Word to take root in our hearts and bring the transformation the Lord requires of us.
We can see in the Gospel the transformation of those who surrendered their lives to the Lord. The transformation occurred moments after receiving the power of the Holy Spirit. This led them to follow the Lord wholeheartedly, and they never looked back. Their lives were consumed by doing God's will, regardless of their own lives. Their lives were endangered many times simply for doing God's will. They did not shrink from what happened to them to carry out God's work. Today, many children only want all the benefits of their father, but in reality, their lives are not fully surrendered to the Lord. They only want the benefits of being a child, but they don't do what the Father requires them to do. Their lives are divided by the pleasures of this world and what they can receive as children. To do the Father's will is to live for Him. When we live for Him, our lives are transformed according to His word. We mature, and our lives are transformed. When we reach this place of transformation, the change in our lives must be evident, reflecting the transformation the Father requires of us. The Lord requires a total surrender of our lives. This surrender is personal, and it must be voluntary. The Holy Spirit will not force you to do something, as many think. No, it is our responsibility, and it must be voluntary. Living for Him is our decision. What this decision can bring to our lives is a willingness to live for Him. When we make this decision, He has left us His word to follow as it is, and when we apply His word to our lives, this seed of His word will take root in our hearts. We will bear the fruit of the word established in our lives only if we allow His word to work in us. Let the transforming word transform your life! There is power in the word of God to accomplish what the Lord has designed it to do in our lives.
John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
