Altar and Font flowers may be designated to commemorate a special day such as the anniversary of a birth, a baptism, a marriage, a death, or expression of thanksgiving. When flowers are given, a special prayer is offered and the designation is listed in the cathedral prayers in the Sunday worship bulletin.
If you are interested in dedicating flowers for the altar or the font, please contact the church office or email Lara Sherer (lara@sherer.com) with the date and the designation. The suggested donation for both altar and font flowers are $75 each. If more than one designation is received for a Sunday, any additional money is placed in the general flower fund to purchase flowers for Sundays without designations. There are no designations noted for Sunday, February 23.

It is never too late to join the Good Book Club in reading the Gospel of John. Each day, from Epiphany on January 6 through Mardi Gras Day, February 25, we will read a passage from this compelling gospel. Today's reading is John 7:1-24. There are an array of resources to help you on the journey. The first step is easy: Open your Bible and start reading. To sign up for Good Book Club resources go to:

In just a few days, we will welcome more than 300 of our Episcopal friends to the Cathedral for our annual convention! Many of us have been involved in the countless hours of planning and preparation-it will be exciting to see all of these efforts come to life. Thank you to all who have signed up to help. An informational email will be sent the first of the week with all necessary instructions for your shifts.
And, if you would like to volunteer and have not yet signed up, we are still in need of volunteers to help Friday and Saturday mornings - contact Lucy Wright at 251-605-9199, lhr218@aol.com, or the Cathedral office at 251-438-1822, office@christchurchcathedralmobile.org. Please know your help will be more than appreciated!

2020
One of the Christ Church Cathedral Goals for 2022 states that, "In the past year, 100% of the membership of Christ Church Cathedral has made a pledge towards the annual budget." For 2020 we have 163 pledging families. We are now asking the 151 families who do not currently pledge to please make a pledge. A pledge of $25 per month, for an annual pledge of $300, could be a place to begin this Christian discipline. Eighty nine percent of our budget is made possible by annual pledges. Your new pledges would be used to make possible all our worship services, outreach, ministry to families, children and youth, Bible studies, classes, and pastoral care. To make your pledge, please contact Brenda Stanton at 251-438-1822, or return a pledge card found on the ministry table.
2019 Charitable Gifts statements have been mailed. Please let Brenda know if you did not receive yours.
