November 10 - Picture Re-take Day

What another great week we had here at OSL. PreK students were sharing with me words they learned that start with the letter "H."  Pre2 were holding up markers and telling me what color it was. 3rd and 4th grade students were learning how to read things from a restaurant menu!  While all of these skills are very important, the joy and blessing that is shared daily with your child is that they are a forgiven child of God! Each teacher and staff member truly live out our mission with your children which is, "Sharing Christ's Love, Centered in God's Word."

Thank you for entrusting your children to us and allowing us to partner with you to raise your children to know that they are loved and forgiven children of God.

God's Blessings!

Linda Dehn

WHEN SHOULD I KEEP MY CHILD HOME FROM SCHOOL DUE TO ILLNESS?

Please use these guidelines, which are based on St. Louis County health guidelines, in deciding whether a child who is suspected of being ill should return to school.

 Students with vomiting, diarrhea, or fever above 99.6 F (prior to being given fever reducers of any sort) in the morning or 100 F in the afternoon are not eligible to attend school.

 Students must be free of symptoms (that is, no fever, vomiting, or diarrhea) for 24 hours before returning to school.

 When taking a child to the doctor, it is helpful to bring a note to school from the doctor to show the child has been directly under the doctor’s care for the given time-period.

 Students with COVID or directly exposed to COVID must quarantine according to current St. Louis County Guidelines. The school is to be notified immediately

BACK PARKING LOT CLOSURE

The back parking lot is closed daily from 8:15 a.m.-11;25 a.m. and from 11:40 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

If you arrive between these hours to pick up your child, you will pick them up at Door A in the front of the building.

If you arrive early prior to pick-up please park on the main lot until 3:00 p.m. before driving to the back lot.

If you have a grandparent or someone unfamiliar with our procedures, please let them know about our policies.

Our back lot is used as a playground area for the children throughout the day.  Thank you for your cooperation.
