November 10 - Picture Re-take Day

What another great week we had here at OSL. PreK students were sharing with me words they learned that start with the letter "H."  Pre2 were holding up markers and telling me what color it was. 3rd and 4th grade students were learning how to read things from a restaurant menu!  While all of these skills are very important, the joy and blessing that is shared daily with your child is that they are a forgiven child of God! Each teacher and staff member truly live out our mission with your children which is, "Sharing Christ's Love, Centered in God's Word."

Thank you for entrusting your children to us and allowing us to partner with you to raise your children to know that they are loved and forgiven children of God.

God's Blessings!

Linda Dehn

Please use these guidelines, which are based on St. Louis County health guidelines, in deciding whether a child who is suspected of being ill should return to school.

 Students with vomiting, diarrhea, or fever above 99.6 F (prior to being given fever reducers of any sort) in the morning or 100 F in the afternoon are not eligible to attend school.

 Students must be free of symptoms (that is, no fever, vomiting, or diarrhea) for 24 hours before returning to school.

 When taking a child to the doctor, it is helpful to bring a note to school from the doctor to show the child has been directly under the doctor’s care for the given time-period.

 Students with COVID or directly exposed to COVID must quarantine according to current St. Louis County Guidelines. The school is to be notified immediately

The back parking lot is closed daily from 8:15 a.m.-11;25 a.m. and from 11:40 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

If you arrive between these hours to pick up your child, you will pick them up at Door A in the front of the building.

If you arrive early prior to pick-up please park on the main lot until 3:00 p.m. before driving to the back lot.

If you have a grandparent or someone unfamiliar with our procedures, please let them know about our policies.

Our back lot is used as a playground area for the children throughout the day.  Thank you for your cooperation.

An invitation was sent out via SchoolCues a few days ago.

1st quarter Chapel Mission Project

We had missionaries from LAMP visit us this week in chapel. LAMP Missionaries - LAMP’s volunteers and staff from Canada and the United States share the love of Jesus to Indigenous people in communities in remote northern Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia through Christ-centered Bible studies and other outreach projects. We've collected almost $170 so far.

There are so many great things happening at Lutheran South! We have record enrollment and plan to break ground this fall on the first phase of renovations. This will include a new entrance, new art and band studios, and a performing arts center.

Below are a few dates that I wanted to share with you. Throughout the year I will be sending information about these events. Thank you for your continued support of Lutheran South.

September 15: Applications open

October 7: Middle School mixer

October 11: Open House

November 15: Early application deadline

VISITING AND ENROLLMENT OPPORTUNITIES - We would love to have you visit Lutheran South! Call us to schedule a family meeting and tour. INK CARTRIDGES...we recycle them for a small profit back to school. We will accept any small cartridges. The funds helps pay for some of our new technology.
AMAZON SMILE: If you ordered from Amazon please considered 1) buying your Amazon cards from us. We receive a percentage on each card we purchase. 2) Please make any purchases on Amazon Smile and click "Our Savior Lutheran Church" as the charity you would like a percentage of your sales to go towards.
