NETC Awards 130 diplomas, certificates at summer graduation

Donned in caps, gowns, and tassels, Northeastern Technical College students walked the graduation stage. 


NETC awarded students a combined 130 degrees and certificates during the Aug. 1 Summer 2024 Commencement held indoors at Dillon School District 4 auditorium. 


The ceremony began with an invocation with Rev. Roscoe Oxendine from Melody Land Faith Chapel Church in Little Rock, S.C. 


The keynote speaker was retired U.S. Army Sgt. Maj. Phil Homan who received in July 2024 the S.C. Order of the Palmetto.

 

Students received diplomas and certificates from Area Commission Chairman Dan Bozard, NETC President Dr. Kyle Wagner and NETC Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Derk Reichers.

NETC Allied Nursing students received 33 pins and 19 Workforce Certificates were handed out during the May 9 Industry/Allied Health Credential Recognition Ceremony at the Cheraw Campus.

Sewing classes begin!


NETC hosts an introduction to sewing class with Cheraw-based fashion designer Myranda Teal. 

The four-week class began July 24, with day and night classes slated for 10 a.m. to noon or 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays at NETC’s Cheraw campus.
