NETC employee drivers sign up for training

Northeastern Technical College employees who drive any of the college vehicles must complete the State Fleet Defensive Driving Course.

Courses are available through March 27 online and in-person in Columbia.

The defensive driving class takes approximately eight hours to complete and is valid for three years; proof of completing the course could result in a discount with your auto insurance – check with your insurance provider.

A refresher course must be completed every three years; if certification expires, you must retake the full course again.

Welcome back Trailblazers!

Blaze tours campuses Jan. 10; no charge for autographs

Just like wolves do not hibernate in the winter, the cold days of January do not stop Trailblazers getting ready for the new semester.

Welcome Week starts Monday, Jan. 8, on all four of NETC’s campuses with classes beginning as well.

The Cheraw Campus Library (500 building) will have a resource fair 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 8 followed up by a virtual scavenger hunt 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Jan. 9 with coffee and donuts in Cheraw campus library.

On Jan. 10, join Dr. Kyle Wagner with pizza with the president noon Jan. 10.

I will be on tour Jan. 10 throughout NETC campuses; how will I meet my deadlines?

For those starting NETC for the first time this semester, welcome.

You’ve made the right choice and good luck starting a new journey.

For the students walking their pathway, keep your head down and persevere; you’re almost at your goal.

For those rounding the final turn, don’t let up. Finish strong and we will see you at graduation.

Yours,

Blaze.
