NETC Theatre Club presents Charles Dicken's classic 'A Christmas Carol'
|
Northeastern Technical College (NETC) Theatre Club held its annual performance of Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol" on Thursday evening, November 21. The production featured NETC students and special guests appearing from the community. The performance was held at NETC's Cheraw Campus.
Lisa Morman-Patterson, NETC Theatre Instructor, directed the production.
"A Christmas Carol" is the timeless story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserable elderly man who was visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. By the end of the play, Scrooge's heart softened, and he transformed into a kinder, gentler man.
The Theatre Club will also be performing at the Blumenthal Theater next week to a sold out crowd.
For More Information about the NETC Theatre Club and how to attend or be a part of the next production, call 800-921-7399 for more information.

Third-Party CDL Testing Underway at Cheraw Campus
|
NETC's Third-Party CDL Testing Location is now up and running at the college's Cheraw Campus.
CDL instructors, Raymond "Vern" Chavis, David Spencer, Ken Allen, and Tim McCormick are all certified modernized CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) testing instructors and third-party testers in South Carolina.
As third-party testers, the four faculty members are authorized to test NETC's CDL students, and also truckers who have previously held a commercial driver's license and need to recertify for the road.
Using NETC's third-party testers, individuals and businesses can take advantage of the flexible scheduling compared to the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles getting drivers on the road quickly. NETC testing takes place at its Cheraw campus located at 1201 Chesterfield Highway.
For testing availability, scheduling, and pricing, contact NETC at 800-921-7399.

ID Badges: All employees and students are required to wear their college ID badges at all times while on campus. This helps us quickly identify members of our campus community and maintain a secure environment. If you do not have an ID badge, you can obtain one from the Enrollment Center this week M-Th from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (AND you get a snazzy Trailblazer Lanyard or Retractable Badge Holder!!)
Parking Decals: Every employee and student must have a valid parking decal displayed on their vehicle. This is essential for campus security and parking management. If you do not have a Parking Decal you should obtain one from the Enrollment Center this week M-Th from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. You will need your license plate number to get your parking decal.
3. Visitor Check-In: All visitors to campus must check in at the main office located in the 100 building. At community campuses, visitors should see the campus coordinator. Visitors will be required to show a photo ID, and sign in, to obtain a visitor’s pass. Please remind any guests or visitors of this procedure to ensure a smooth check-in process.
| | |
|
Employee Parking: All employees are required to park in the designated parking lot near the 100 building. The only exception to this rule is for employees with an accommodation on file.
Student Parking: All students must park in the designated 200 building parking lot. This helps manage traffic flow and ensures that parking is available for both students and staff in the appropriate areas. The only exception to this rule is for students with an accommodation on file.
If an employee or student does not have their College ID, a visitor's pass will be issued for the day. However, only two visitor passes will be issued per semester, after reaching the limit, there will be a $5 charge for each visitor's pass.
Your cooperation with these policies is crucial to keeping our campus secure and orderly. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out to campus security or HR.
Thank you for your attention to these important measures and for your continued commitment to making Northeastern Technical College a safe place for everyone.
