NETC Nursing Students Gain Hands-On Experience in Life-Saving Skills | |
|
Practical Nursing students at Northeastern Technical College (NETC) are learning important skills in the Nursing Simulation Lab. They are practicing how to give medicine through nasogastric (NG) tubes and feeding tubes, which are used for patients who cannot take medicine by mouth. This hands-on training helps students feel more confident and prepared for real nursing jobs.
In the lab, students work with special mannequins and equipment to practice safely giving medicine. They learn how to check tube placement, prepare medications, and watch for any problems. Instructors guide them through each step, making sure they are ready to care for real patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings.
These students are set to graduate in December 2025 and will use what they learn to help patients in need. NETC’s nursing program gives them the skills and experience to succeed, making sure they are ready for their future careers in healthcare.
