MAJ Rodney G. Bilbrew graduated from The Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the fall of 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, receiving his commission as a Signal Officer. After completing the Signal Officer Basic Course at Fort Gordon, Georgia, he was assigned to the 11th Signal Brigade, 86th Signal Battalion, Bravo Company as the Executive Officer. In 2002, he deployed to Southwest Asia in support of the Operation Enduring Freedom I, serving as a Brigade System Control Battle Captain. Upon redeployment, MAJ Bilbrew would go on to serve as the Large Contingency Data Package Platoon Leader, Charlie Company, 86th Signal Battalion. In 2003, the 11th Signal Brigade would again deploy in support of the Operation Iraqi Freedom. MAJ Bilbrew’s platoon would serve as the strategic communications provider for LTG Wallace’s V Corps during the initial invasion into Iraq.
After completing the Signal Officer’s Advance Course and Brigade/Battalion Signal Officer Courses in 2005, MAJ Bilbrew was assigned to 2

Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, 4

Brigade Combat Team, and 10th Mountain Division (LI) as the Battalion Signal Officer. In 2006, MAJ Bilbrew would deploy as part of a 1500-man Infantry Task Force assigned to conduct security and stability operations in Southern Afghanistan. MAJ Bilbrew would later return to Fort Polk, LA to take command of Charlie Company, 4
th
Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 10th Mountain Division (LI). In 2008, MAJ Bilbrew deployed his company to east Baghdad as part of the “Surge” in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom VII.
Upon redeployment and relinquishing command, MAJ Bilbrew branch transferred into the Army Acquisition Corps. Rodney

In November 2009, MAJ Bilbrew was assigned to the Aviation and Missile Command’s Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services (EXPRESS) Program as a Contract Specialist. In August of 2010, MAJ Bilbrew joined the Apache Directorate as a contract specialist. In July of 2011, MAJ Bilbrew was selectively chosen to become the Assistant Product Manager of Aviation Tactical Communications Systems where he served until July 2013.
From July 2013 to August 2014, MAJ Bilbrew served as the Battalion Operations Officer of Army Contracting Command- Qatar. While serving in ACC-Qatar, MAJ Bilbrew was hand selected to lead a diverse contracting cell that supported CENTCOM operations in Syria. MAJ Bilbrew culminated his last assignment as the Deputy Director of the Army and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) Contracts Directorate for the Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Currently MAJ Bilbrew, serves as a Force Developer within TRADOC Capability Manager- Operational Contract Support (TCM-OCS) within the Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM), the Army’s sustainment think tank.
MAJ Bilbrew is a graduate of Florida Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Project Management-Information Systems. In addition, MAJ Bilbrew graduated from The University of Alabama with a Masters of Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the Command and General Staff College and the FA51 Intermediate Qualification Course (IQC). MAJ Bilbrew’s Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certifications include the following: Level III certified in Contracting, Level III certified in Program Management, Level I certified in Information Technology, and a U.S. Army Acquisition Corps Member. His awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, NATO Medal, and the Combat Action Badge.
