Chairman's Corner
At last the monsoon has started! My garden is breathing a sigh of relief and does better with rainwater than tap water.
I'm getting ready to head to Iowa for my Mom's 85th birthday. I think of the things that she has seen over her lifetime, and marvel at her resilience and positive outlook. She was born before WWII started in earnest, before computers and cell phones and internet, and she uses all of these modern helpers after having to learn how.

We rely on modern technology so much, to the detriment of face-to-face communication in my opinion. In my household we reject intrusive tech like Alexa, Nest and Roomba, internet linked security like Ring or Simply Safe, and have BIG dogs (and one micro-psuedo dog chihuahua) and support and train 2A.
Newly emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) is quite concerning for many, and I encourage you to watch this video: AI Dilemma. The presenters are not conservative, yet they are sounding a massive alarm on this technology. On a related note, if you haven't watched Social Dilemma on Netflix you should (I know, I hate supporting Netflix but that's where it is).

We are in an information war where the battle is for your attitude, beliefs and reactions. The method of attack is to influence the Influencers who influence you: social media, "news," books, magazines, teachers, and politicians/political groups. Many of those leading the attacks are foreign actors, namely China and the people and NGOs they support. Be aware of their tactics and learn how to resist them by reading:

Arizona House of Representatives
LD 1 Update from Reps. Nguyen & Bliss
| |
Representatives Quang Nguyen and Selina Bliss, Chair and Vice-Chair of the House Judiciary Committee are fighting to prevent the illegal transfer of American firearms to Ukraine:
The City of Phoenix wants to send hundreds of unclaimed guns to Ukraine using a private company that will then transport them to the National Police of Ukraine. However, according to the Arizona Constitution, gun donations such as these are unlawful.
LD-1 House Representatives have warned the members of the Phoenix City Council that their planned gun donation violates state law. At the time of this writing, the response from the Phoenix City Council is still pending.
See the letter below to Phoenix City Council from LD-1 Representatives Quang Nguyen and Selina Bliss
Also, LD1 Representatives continue to lead at the legislature… On July 18, Senator Anthony Kern and Rep. Nguyen co-chaired the Ad Hoc committee to hear ASU suppression of speech at the Barrett Honors College, involving Dennis Prager and Charlie Kirk, and the termination of Professor Ann Atkinson. Click for article.
ASU has 60 days to investigate and report back to the legislature.

Legislative action follows dispute over ASU center | Sasha Hupka
Arizona Republic USA TODAY NETWORK
A Republican-led legislative committee will investigate freedom of expression at Arizona’s public universities, according to documents from state lawmakers describing the new effort.
The formation of the committee comes just weeks after Ann Atkinson, the former director of an Arizona State University center devoted to personal development and conservative values, publicly alleged that she lost her job after bringing several right-wing speakers to campus in February for an event titled “Health, Wealth and Happiness.”

On June 8, 2023, Governor Greg Abbott signed a series of border security legislation passed during the 88th Regular Legislative Session into law at the Texas Capitol. This package of six bills expands Texas' unprecedented efforts to hold the line and protect Texans from the record level of illegal immigration, weapons, and deadly drugs pouring into Texas from Mexico caused by President Biden's refusal to secure the border.
I am creating a committee to study the bills passed in Texas with the goal of bringing similar bills to Arizona.
Are you as concerned as I am about the unprecedented number of Illegals crossing into Arizona? If we work together, we can make a difference! Click here for information about the Texas bills. Contact me if you are interested.

HOW TO CONTACT YOUR LEGISLATOR
The RTS (Request to Speak) system is a necessary component to our legislative process. This is an excellent way to share your positions on a particular Bill and let your legislator know that you support his/her legislation. Please review this site and make sure you know how to use it properly. The legislators depend a lot on your opinions and this is where you share them.
The link to sign up for the RTS system can be found here: https://www.azleg.gov/alispdfs/Using_the_Request_to_Speak_Program.pdf

Federal Judge Blocks Arizona’s Transgender Sports Ban
After Teens File Lawsuit
A federal judge on Thursday temporarily blocked Arizona from enforcing a law banning transgender individuals from playing on girls’ school sports teams.
The judge in Tucson granted a preliminary injunction to allow the processing of a lawsuit (pdf) filed on behalf of two transgender prepubescents against the state’s “Save Women’s Sports Act,” which was passed by the legislature last year.

Maricopa County Stonewalls Numerous Public Records Requests Submitted by Election Integrity Researcher
Melissa White, who has been investigating election anomalies in the Maricopa County 2022 election with a team of researchers, submitted around 35 public records requests to Maricopa County since the election asking for documents, but has received very little back. Many of the responses from the county said there were “no responsive records.” She has encountered similar stonewalling from the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office (AZSOS).

Beware of Councils of Governments
Patrick Wood with Local Activist Accelerator
Most of the U.S. is blanketed by a network of Councils of Governments (COGs). Some of them are called Metropolitan Planning Organizations. All are non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and are patently unconstitutional. They are also the source of waves of local policies related to global warming, Agenda 2030, New Urban Agenda, Green New Deal, Sustainable Development and so on.

ProtonMail Password Manager |
Password managers greatly improve your online security by allowing you to create a different password for every individual account you have on the internet. This ensures that if any one password is ever compromised, all your other accounts will remain secure.
Additionally, password managers allow you to create complex (and thus secure) passwords that humans would find very hard to remember.
Proton strongly recommends using a password manager, and we believe that our own Proton Pass is the best password manager available.
