The Sunbeam - June Edition

Welcome to the June 2022 edition of The Sunbeam!

Hopefully, this newsletter finds you cool, hydrated, and healthy. The first day of summer isn’t even here yet and we’re already experiencing a massive heat wave.

Despite the increased air conditioning load combating this heat, solar panels across the region seem to be doing very well right now with all of these sunny days. Go renewable energy!

As you probably saw on social media, Cape Fear Solar Systems turned 15 years old on June 7th. Wow—we’re starting to feel old! With all of the recent hustle surrounding our growing business and our new building, celebrating this anniversary gave us a chance to pause and reflect on just how far we’ve come.

Speaking of the new building, if you’ve driven across the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge into Wilmington recently, you’ve probably seen our latest addition to our new warehouse. 116 solar panels make up the giant American flag covering most of the river-facing roof surface. Once construction is complete, this solar array will power the warehouse, the future 5-story office tower, and other buildings located on our campus. Work continues to progress on the inside and we’re looking forward to moving this fall.

As always, we thank you for being a pioneer of the renewable energy movement. If you have questions or want to see more articles about certain aspects of photovoltaic systems, please let us know! Our goal is to be an industry and community leader, and we cannot do either without your support.

And, please, don’t forget to stay hydrated!

Sunny Regards,

The Cape Fear Solar Systems Team
