We can save our democracy.
Two days ago, the primaries in New York and in swing state Florida handed us some great news. In Florida, 25 year-old organizer Maxwell Alejandro Frost (D) won his primary in FL-10, a highly liberal district, making him the presumptive winner of his election in November… meaning that he will be going to Congress. He will be the first and only Gen-Z member of Congress, and the first and only Afro-Cuban member of Congress. This is transformational. Young people will see proof that they can get involved, that they can run, that they can win.
In New York’s 19th district, Democrat Pat Ryan won an upset victory. Internal Republican polling had Ryan losing by 10 points. He won by 2. That is a 12 point swing.
If we get anything like that swing in November? We win the midterms.
The top issues Ryan campaigned on? Abortion rights and gun safety. These are two of the top issues Field Team 6 has been using to register Democrats.
Miracles happen when we connect with people… and show them their vote can change the world. By registering to vote as a Democrat, they choose community over chaos, laws over lies, votes over violence, competence over corruption.
SO KEEP GOING! Keep volunteering and donating! Your hours and dollars, your heart and soul and hard work, are what keep Field Team 6 going! This week, you registered hundreds of new Democrats in person. You posted thousands of tweets (generating almost 80 million impressions!!), mailed thousands of postcards, and made thousands of calls. And you sent over 120,000 texts to swing districts!
This is how we win.

College campuses are teeming with potential Democratic voters just waiting to be registered. It's like shooting fish in a barrel, but in a positive way! (Empowering fish in a barrel?)
So we've launched a new, game-changing project called Rush Week for Democracy! It's got the potential to win elections across the country. Our secret weapons: geofencing and targeted social media ads.
Yep, we're digitally fencing off the campuses of the four biggest HBCUs in Georgia – and Georgia State as well. Set foot on campus, and you get an ad from us on your social media, urging you to get registered to vote for Governor Stacey Abrams and Senator Rev. Warnock. One click takes you straight to Georgia's official voter registration page.
We’ve tested it, and it’s been a consistent success. So we want to geofence more HBCUs and colleges in our 9 swing states! The only thing we’re missing is the funding. If you can help, donate HERE. And if you have a rich great-aunt, or a great, rich aunt, now’s the time to ask them to fund Rush Week for Democracy – a project that just might win the midterms.

THE JOY OF TEXT... A RECAP:
California includes so many swing districts that it could easily determine which party controls the House.
That's why last Tuesday, Field Team 6 partnered with the youth-led Fearless Action and activism juggernaut Swing Left West Valley to text 120,000 unregistered likely Democrats in 6 California swing districts. 120,000 people is almost enough to fill LA’s Memorial Stadium two times – and enough to swing multiple House elections. To maximize our effectiveness, we used a pro-abortion rights script for women and an Inflation Reduction Act script for men. We had 80 volunteers – who managed to send all those texts in half an hour. OPA!

Here's the thing: we have the contacts, but not the cash, to text all the eligible voters who are likely Democrats in our database.

FOR PRO-CANNABIS TEXANS
Brittney Griner's 9-year sentence for possession of trace amounts of hash oil is ludicrously harsh. Yet Russia is not the only place where inhumane punishments for marijuana possession are handed out like parking tickets.
Right here in the US, there are currently 40k Americans serving time for cannabis convictions, one for life in prison for an amount weighing less than a golf ball.
Our ingenious partner Ground Game Texas has been leading the charge by putting decriminalization on the ballot in many Texas cities. It was their idea to harness this great cause to motivate tens of thousands of Democrats to vote – for this as well as every Democrat on their ballot!
They told us they had thousands of people who had signed their petitions, who turned out to not be registered to vote. For us, those are the Glengarry leads!! So we've teamed up with them to send a postcard to every single one, and help register them as Democrats! We're aiming high — very high — with this psychedelic postcard (above) and our first 420-friendly postcarding campaign!
But we need pro-cannabis, pro-democracy postcard volunteers!
