Welcome to the Konza United Way monthly newsletter. 

We're excited to share about our busy, fun-filled start to the month of October officially kicking off our 2023-2024 campaign. Thank you to those who attended the event and brought donations of diapers and supplies. It was a wonderful experiment to show how being United in Purpose greatly impacts meeting a local need. It was also wonderful to hear specific examples of how campaign donations are invested in much-needed programming to help our families thrive.

We are grateful for the generosity of our event sponsor WTC Fiber, K-State Athletics for sharing such a beautiful venue, and Sodexo at K-State for preparing a delicious breakfast.

We also wanted to recognize the Manhattan Rotary Club for their contribution in support of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. They presented Kate Ryan, KUW Board President with a donation in celebration of their September Cup money fundraiser.

Finally, a thank you to our pacesetter campaigns for leading by example, and setting the pace for other workplaces campaigns in the upcoming months: Caterpillar Work Tools Inc., Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, Olsson, The Trust Company, Kansas Gas Service, Capitol Federal, and Greater Manhattan Community Foundation. MEET OUR HONORARY CAMPAIGN CHAMPION:

We are pleased to have C. Clyde Jones leading our annual fundraising effort as our Honorary Champion for the United in Purpose Campaign. His dedication, passion, and leadership in our community represent his 100 years. Clyde has been a Manhattan resident since 1960 and instantly developed a love for the town. Through his time, he has seen our community grow and develop to what it is today. Clyde has a long history with United Way and supporting our community. We are honored to have his support and dedication to United in Purpose, our 2023-2024 Campaign.

Q: What impacts have you seen on the community due to KUW?

A:  Konza United Way plays a pivotal role in our community, connecting donors to our non-profits. Being a witness to the generous resources our donors provide for children's education, personal finance, and our community's health is encouraging for our future.
