THIRD QUARTER EVENTS RECAP

Third Quarter was a busy one for Home Front Military Network! We hosted two of our three signature fundraising events as well as a brand new Resource Fair in partnership with the Switchbacks FC. We hope you were able to join in on some of the fun and we appreciate your support making these key fundraising and outreach events possible. Events like these help increase our capacity to accomplish our vital mission and they help increase awareness throughout our community.

Volunteer Shout-out

We’re thrilled to have Melissa as a HFMN Volunteer, Table Captain, and Event Committee Member. We are honored to shine a spotlight on her as our Volunteer of the Quarter!

Meet Melissa Peterson

Melissa Peterson was raised in an Army family, coming from a long line of military family members. They lived in many places before settling in Colorado Springs. She loves being able to look at the mountains every day.

Melissa is married to her college sweetheart and they have three children together. As a family, they love to travel and explore new places.

She attended her first Honoring the Brave Breakfast in 2019 and became a table captain the following year. Melissa discovered the positive impact that HFMN was having within the community and wanted to be a part of it. She continues to volunteer for various HFMN events and even serves on the Event Planning Committee.

Melissa hopes to support and amplify the work HFMN is doing for service members, veterans, and their families. She hopes to be a helping hand in providing vital support to the local military community.

She volunteered at all three events this quarter; the Switchbacks Military Resource Fair, the Honoring the Brave Concert and the Honoring the Brave Breakfast earning herself the spotlight. Thank you Melissa for supporting HFMN!

"I cannot even describe the words that will let you know how much this assistance helped me. Thank you. You were there for me. I never ask for help."
