IRWIN: A New York Story                       Trailer
Feisty nonagenarian Irwin Hasen recounts his colorful life in the NYC Boxing industry and as a pioneer comic book illustrator for DC Comics on features such as Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, & Wildcat. He reached nationwide stardom in the 1950's with his newspaper strip DONDI , even appearing in the 1957 feature film. A lifelong New Yorker, Irwin's bubbly tales of wine, women & song, will have you dancing in your seats! 

A Story In Stone                                       Trailer
A Story In Stone presents a brief history of French Lithographer Fernand Mourlots' introduction of Stone Lithography to America, the process used by Picasso, Matisse, Chagall and Toulouse-Lautrec to reproduce some of master their work. American artist James Reed was one of the first to work with New York Mourlot printers first hand. Reed went on to establish Milestone Graphics in Bridgeport, Ct., where he's printed for local & nationally recognized artists.

Over the sometimes rainy weekend, 32 acts performed outdoors. It is widely regarded as a pivotal moment in popular music history, as well as the definitive nexus for the larger counterculture generation. Rolling Stone listed it as number 19 of the 50 Moments That Changed the History of Rock and Roll.

The event was captured in the Academy Award-winning 1970 documentary movie Woodstock, an accompanying soundtrack album, and Joni Mitchell's song "Woodstock", which commemorated the event and became a major hit for both Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and Matthews Southern Comfort. Joni Mitchell said, "Woodstock was a spark of beauty" where half-a-million kids "saw that they were part of a greater organism". In 2017, the festival site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Written & Directed by: Australian native, Kylie Hitchcock-Garcelon 75 min. An investigative journalist, crippled with an anxiety disorder, retires from the field after a traumatic assignment on a dogfighting ring but is forced to confront the unresolved story when a psychotic stalker causes her new life to unravel.


Australian native, Kylie Garcelon is a screenwriter-director and the 2019 recipient of the Artist of the Year award at the Northern Virginia International Film Festival. Her feature film, The Dog Walker, a psychological thriller which she wrote and directed was nominated for eight awards at the festival and produced by Gladiolus Productions, of which she is a founding member. Her feature-length comedy spec, The Salad Spinner, won Best Screenplay - Comedy, also at NOVA.

Dana Schwartz is a documentary film producer, writer, and director. Sea Change is Schwartz's directorial debut. Schwartz has produced four documentary feature films: Paper Tigers, Resilience, California Typewriter, and The United States of Detroit.

Director: Samia Badih's film Rasheed documents the life of Badih's late uncle Rasheed Broum who was killed, at the age of 29, in an airstrike in the city of Sidon during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982 - three years before she was born. More than 30 years after the tragedy, Samia goes on a quest to find out more about her uncle's story of life and death, as it is told by the friends and family who survived him and knew him best, mainly his sister Rasha and his best friend Ghassan. At the heart of the film is the story Rashee'd sister, Rasha who has not coped well with her brother's loss. Rasheed captures one of the many war stories from the southern city of Sidon, Lebanon through Badih's own personal journey.
The Connecticut Film Festival (CTFF) is an umbrella film education organization producing more than 150 days and nights of film screenings, industry workshops and panels, weekend festivals, a statewide films series and of course film premieres and fundraisers each year. As it enters its 14th year, it has launched new film events including: Viva Cinema Latino Film Festival, New Haven International Film Festival, NYComedy Shorts and FilmFest 52 (in CT, VT and soon in CO).
