Our Basic Choice rate will soon be less than SCE

Less than a year into providing renewable energy to business and residential customers in Buena Park, Huntington Beach, Irvine and Fullerton, Orange County Power Authority (OCPA) announced that beginning in January 2023, its Basic Choice electricity generation rate (38% renewable energy) will be cheaper than Southern California Edison’s (SCE) rates.

OCPA receives clean audit review

In a recent audit of the Orange County Power Authority’s (OCPA) financial statements, Pisenti and Brinker, LLP – an accounting firm with deep expertise and experience in Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) audits – reported that OCPA’s financial statements are fairly, materially, and appropriately presented with no recommendations for changes needed.
