Fairfax Fiesta!

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! I hope you will join me for an unforgettable celebration of Hispanic culture on Saturday, September 23rd from noon to 5 pm! I will also be joined by Senator Warner, Senator Kaine, Congressman Connolly, Chairman McKay, and Dr. Reid.


Fairfax Fiesta, the first Fairfax County Hispanic Heritage celebration, promises a day filled with music, dance, authentic cuisine, engaging activities, and so much more!

Early Voting


Early voting opens Friday, September 22nd at three locations below for the November 7 general election. Local and state offices are on the ballot, as well as a $435 million public school bond.



Additional 13 early voting locations, including the Providence Community Center, will be offered beginning Thursday, October 26th. Any registered voter can cast their ballot at any early voting site. The last day to vote early is November 4th at 5 pm.

Mosaic Fall Festival


Enjoy a weekend filled with live entertainment, a farmers market, a handmade and vintage market, kids' activities, and more at the Mosaic Fall Festival on September 23rd and 24th from 11 am to 6pm!

The Concert Truck at the Community Center


Capital One Hall is hosting six public performances with The Concert Truck including the Providence Community Center on Friday, September 29th at 2:30 pm.


Performances will feature founder and pianist Nick Luby joined by vocalist Jacob Lamb. The musicians will present a one-hour music program featuring arrangements of Broadway classics.


All performances are free and open to the public. Guests are invited to bring their own seating and enjoy The Concert Truck program rain or shine. Hope to see you there!

Renaming & Dedication Ceremony for the Jim Scott Community Center


Join us on Saturday, September 30th at 10 am to celebrate the renaming and dedication of the Providence Community Center as the "Jim Scott Community Center" in honor of the former Providence Supervisor and Virginia House of Delegates representative.


James M. “Jim” Scott, was a dedicated and respected public servant. First elected to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in 1971, Jim served as Providence District Supervisor for 14 years and then represented Fairfax County in the Virginia House of Delegates for 22 years.
