May 24th, 8:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary and 10:30 a.m.

at the Davidson College Lake Campus

It is Pentecost Sunday and Memorial Day weekend and we are getting outside, closer to the wind/Spirit. Our 8:30 a.m. service will be live-streamed. The 10:30 service will not. Bring your bathing suits, picnic lunches (we will have ice cream) and join us for worship and fellowship. The Davidson College Lake Campus is a 10-minute drive from the church, 152 Lake Campus Drive in Mooresville. We will run a shuttle from DCPC to the Lake Campus, starting at 9:45 a.m.

This Sunday


This Sunday, there is ONE SERVICE ONLY at 8:30 a.m.,

in the sanctuary.

The service will be live-streamed to Facebook and YouTube. Free childcare is provided.


John Ryan will be preaching his sermon, entitled "Stop Sitting Around," based on Ephesians 1:15-23 and Acts 1:1-11.


The music will be provided by David Brinson, Sarah Lynch and the Geneva Choir.

Davidson Presbyterian Church Our friends at DPC have a big day on Sunday, June 14th. Ryan Atkinson, their Student Pastor, will be ordained and installed as the Pastor. The service of ordination and installation is at 3:00 p.m.at DPC: 214 Depot Street. FYI- This is only about 200 yards from DCPC. 

Oak Row and With These Hands:

Oak Row and With These Hands are part of Davidson College's remembrance and education regarding its relationship with enslavement and racial inequality. This special event just for DCPC members is led by the Rev. Daniel Heath, Associate Chaplain and Director of Descendant Outreach. This is an important ministry of the College and DCPC. The same people who founded Davidson College founded DCPC. This history is also our history. Please join us!

Congregational Meeting The Session has called a congregational meeting for Sunday, June 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary in order to act upon the report of the Nominating Committee regarding elder and deacon nominees for the class of 2029 and also to fill one vacancy in the elder class of 2026. Names and bios of nominees will be shared the week before the meeting.

The Bethel Bible Study Series is a comprehensive, 40-lesson overview of the entire Bible designed to help students understand how the Old and New Testaments connect as one unified story. For over 60 years, it has used a unique visual method featuring custom symbolic pictures to help participants retain key biblical concepts.

The study is divided into two major halves, spanning two years of disciplined, college-level study

·        2026-2027 - Old Testament (20 Lessons): Focuses on God’s plan as it is carried out through Israel’s history and the cultural and historical impacts on biblical events.

·        2027-2028 - New Testament (20 Lessons): Examines the fulfillment of God’s plan through Jesus Christ, connecting theological themes like grace, covenant, and forgiveness. Men’s Breakfast Mark your calendars for our first annual DCPC Men's Breakfast. Saturday, August 29th, 8-9:00 a.m. in the Congregation House. Cost is $7 per person. Coffee is served at 7:30, event begins at 8. DCPC's own Scott Galloway, award-winning filmmaker, will share one or two of his short films and the stories behind them. The Davidson Career Transition Program (DCTP) is open to people currently in the job market or those in transition who are interested in career information, help, and support. They meet the first Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. in room 216/218 of Davidson United Methodist Church.
