We're so excited to get you up to speed on all the exciting events at the Park this week! It's going to be a wonderful weekend of arts appreciation.


Join us this Sunday for Echo Arts Festival celebrating visual and performing arts at the Park. This FREE festival features live music, dance and movement, open studios and galleries, hands-on art activities, and more! It's also the last day of the season to ride the carousel! This year, we're thrilled to feature Project Locrea, a global jazz-fusion ensemble that creates and performs original compositions and contemporary arrangements inspired by the folk music of different countries. We also welcome you to participate in a hands-on projection project, with video artist SUE-C. Experience artistic and enriching music and dance performances & workshops throughout the day and embrace your creativity with hands-on crafts and a community art project. We can't wait to welcome you to the Park for a beautiful day of arts celebration!


Get ready for Halloween with the Puppet Co.'s new show, Bixby the Cat: A Halloween Adventure. Opening this Saturday, it will run through November 5.


We invite you to experience a night of music with a special Fundraising Concert presented by the Washington Conservatory of Music. Listen to performances by esteemed faculty and students, showcasing their musical prowess offsite at the Arts Club of Washington.

Fall Frolic

Join us for some Halloween fun at Glen Echo Park! Activities include decorating a Trick-or-Treat bag and other crafts, a festive fall photo-op (say that 10 times!), a costume contest (will you win for "Most Spooky," "Most Creative," or "Best Group?"), and Trick-or-Treating at our resident art studios and galleries. We focus on the arts-y & crafts-y more than the scary, but we love to see all the costumes – even the scary ones!

Social Dance

Our fun and affordable social dances are open to the public with no prior experience or partner required.  When we say we offer something for everyone, we're not kidding! Styles range from folk, blues, and contra to waltz, swing, tango and ballroom ... and more!


New dancers are always welcome, and a pre-dance, introductory lesson is included with admission. Most dances feature live music by renowned local and national bands.

Silver Passport Workshops: Keum Boo

Add gold to your silver creations with Keum Boo. Demystified in this all day workshop, Keum Boo is the ancient technique of diffusion bonding 24k gold to silver using a simple heat source and traditional tools. Oxidation will be addressed. Students will complete at least one project. Must have completed Beginning Silversmithing or equivalent. .

Explore Palette Knife Painting en Plein Air

Master the technique of palette knife painting. Students will explore techniques for blending, textures, drawing, and using various shaped palette knives. We will paint on location on the eastern side of Montgomery County. All levels.

Middle School Mixed Media Madness (Ages 11-15)

October 1 – October 22 | Tuesdays @ 5:00pm | Arcade Building


Enhance your understanding and appreciation for art while adding breadth to your portfolio. Students will create their own works of art inspired by important masterpieces using a variety of media. This after-school program is ideal for the artistic middle school student who wants to expand their expertise in the arts, and try some new materials. This class will have various hands-on projects, done under the guidance of a professional artist and art educator. This class is designed to be taken for multiple sessions. Every month will feature different projects.

Tiny Tots

Ongoing | the Puppet Co.


Designed for children 18 months to 4 years old, ongoing Tiny Tots shows offer a viewing atmosphere especially suited for young theatre patrons. All Tiny Tots shows feature: 30 minute runtime, no dark room, no loud noises, and open theatre doors.
