Greetings!

We hope you had a great holiday weekend. And now we want to help you plan another wonderful wintry week at Glen Echo Park!

Wednesday afternoon brings our third weekly Dance for PD® class (Dance for Parkinson's Disease) to the Park! These classes are free for participants, care partners, and family members thanks to the generous support of pilot program donors. Sign up is encouraged, but walk-ins are also accepted.

Saturday morning, tune in to an online discussion with Shawn Yancy, a multiple Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist and an abstract visual artist. Part of Stone Tower Studio's Art Clinic Online (ACO) series, this discussion promotes dialog among local artists with a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and art making styles.

Get your Saturday morning workout in with a DanceFit: Line Dancing class! You can drop-in to any of our weekly dance fitness classes at the door, pre-register in advance to grab the early bird discount, or try the 10-class package. Due to capacity, a limited number of tickets will be on sale in advance and at the door.

Saturday evening brings a magical evening of Bachata, the dance that's sweeping the world, to the Ballroom Back Room! Our Bachata y más dance kicks off with a beginner lesson in Bachata, followed by a level-up your Bachata lesson (free with the price of admission) led by instructors Amber Logan, Kateryna Boroday, and Tyrone Barnes. Then we'll show off our new moves as we dance along to hot tracks by DJ Sensual Soundz. Watch this quick recap of last month's Bachata by DJ Sidekick to get a sense of this Latin dance celebration!

From its civil rights history to the importance of diversity in modern-day programming, the Glen Echo Park Partnership acknowledges and honors the importance of Black culture. Visit our Black History Month page to learn more about programming by Black artists at the Park.

With such a fun-filled week of featured events, it's hard to believe there could be even more happening at the Park—but there is! You can view our full events calendar to stay up to date with ongoing activities, including weekly social dances, open studio & gallery hours, and upcoming classes.
