Greetings!
As we enjoy summer, we're also looking ahead to the fall and winter months at the Park. Stay tuned for a preview of the Fall & Winter 2026-27 Classes & Events Catalog, coming later this week! And be ready when online registration for Fall & Winter classes & workshops opens Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 10:00am EST.
This week, we welcome King Soul to the Bumper Car Pavilion for our next FREE Thursday-night summer concert. An eight-piece band that brings the excitement of old school Southern Soul, they'll play originals plus a few that you already know and love! We're looking forward to a summer evening of great live music. So come out to listen, dance, or both.
Saturday afternoon, Washington Revels' Jubilee Voices ensemble will perform OFFSITE at “Seeing Our Humanity," the culminating event of the "America 250: Justice for All" series. All are invited to this signature event at Oatlands Plantation, bringing together descendants from all four Virginia National Historic Trust sites of enslavement for an afternoon of speakers, music, and fellowship. Jubilee Voices will perform throughout the day during program breaks.
On Saturday night, the Puppet Co. presents Puppet Slam: Summer Lovin’. Created for adult audiences (18+), this evening of short-form puppetry skits is sure to be full of heart!
Closing Sunday in the Stone Tower Studio, In Bloom: The Work of Evelyn Johns marks the conclusion of two years of the artist's intensive study at Stone Tower Studio before she ventures on to pursue art in college.
We hope you'll join us on the dance floor for a Sunday afternoon Ballroom Dance with Ballroom Time in the Ballroom Back Room. Each week, our fun and affordable social dances are open to the public with no prior experience and no partner required. (Find more dances below.)
Dance for PD® (Dance for Parkinson's Disease) will not meet this Wednesday (July 22), but we'll be back with more free classes starting next week in the climate-controlled Ballroom Back Room.
Looking for kid-friendly activities? You can grab tickets to a children's theater show book an aquarium visit, or ride the carousel throughout the week. Plus, some summer camp spots are still available, with new camps starting up each week until August 21!
Read on for more details about these events plus other happenings this week, including upcoming classes, exhibitions, and social dances. We can't wait to see you at the Park soon, and as always, we appreciate your support!
