In collaboration with Dance for PD® (Parkinson's Disease), the Glen Echo Park Partnership presents a Dance for PD® class series. Registration is not required, participants can drop in to class anytime. These classes are free for participants, care partners, and family members thanks to the generous support of the program's donors.

Opening Reception: 55th Annual Labor Day Art Show

Please join us at an opening reception for the 55th Annual Labor Day Art Show in the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park. Light refreshments will be provided. The exhibition features the work of more than 500 artists from the mid-Atlantic region and includes works in a wide range of artistic mediums.

Glen Echo Park Civil Rights & History Tour

Who led the Civil Rights protests to desegregate Glen Echo Amusement Park in 1960? Which amusement park ride was a focal point of the protests? How did Glen Echo Park become part of the National Park System? Explore Glen Echo Park’s history on this 45-minute free walking tour and find out the answers to these questions and more! This 45-minute ranger-led tour that starts at the Carousel at 10:00 a.m. No registration required.

Global Rhythms

Global Rhythms is a free showcase of music, dance, and storytelling that features performances by artists who share traditions from a variety of cultures around the world. This year, we welcome Zedicus, playing world music, as well as a new work by contemporary Hungarian dancer/choreographer Kata Juhász, visiting from Hungary. Enjoy even more performances and local food trucks!

55th Annual Labor Day Art Show

Friends of the Yellow Barn: Drawing, Watercolor, and Digital Art Show

This exhibition features artwork by members of the Friends of the Yellow Barn Studio and Yellow Barn Studio instructors. You will find amazing works in pencil, pen, ink, conte, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, gouache and digital paintings. All work is for sale and prize winners selected by judge Jun Chung will be announced at the Artist Reception on Saturday, September 5 (5pm - 7pm).

Bumper Car Squares

September 6 | 2:45pm - 5:30pm | Bumper Car Pavilion

Join us for Sunday afternoon square dancing at the Park! We'll start out with a square dance intro lesson for all skill levels from 2:45pm - 3:00pm. Then, caller Dakota Karper will lead a rousing square dance to live music from Critton Hollow String Band. The band will play from 3:00pm - 5:30pm so get ready for square dancing fun that still gets you home early. We'll dance in the Bumper Car Pavilion.
