Greetings!

Thanks to everyone who joined us last weekend for Fall Frolic, our Halloween celebration! With the spooky season over, we're looking forward to some exciting holiday events, including our annual Holiday Art Show & Sale and a brand new carousel lighting event next Saturday!

Before the holiday fun kicks off, we've got a wonderful week ahead of us, full of dance and movement, art exhibitions, and more!

Put on your dancing shoes! Social dances this week include a Sunday-afternoon Ballroom Dance with Ballroom Time, featuring a beginner lesson in Slow Waltz. Dance for PD® (Dance for Parkinson's Disease) continues, with free classes meeting each Wednesday in the Arcade Building. DanceFit Saturday morning drop-in classes are underway with DanceFit: Shake Your Soul meeting at 9:30am. Plus, DanceFit: Line Dancing returns this week, back by popular demand at 11:15am in the Hall of Mirrors!

Friday brings Witching Hour: Waiting for Monty to the Puppet Co., an evening of music, live performances, treats, and libations for an adult audience (18+). Guests will be dazzled by live acts from puppetry to burlesque by top performers around the DMV.

Our Partnership galleries are closed this week for installation of the Holiday Art Show & Sale, but there are still plenty of galleries open around the Park! In the Yellow Barn Gallery, Founder and Director Walt Bartman presents All Seasons, an exhibition of new paintings. A reception will be held Saturday evening and an artist talk will take place Sunday afternoon. It's also the final week to view Mary West Quin's exhibition Evidence of Grace in the Photoworks Gallery. Quin works with historical photographic processes including platinum-palladium, cyanotype, and chemigrams to investigate the underlying structures, patterns, and relationships found within the natural world.

Join the Washington Revels Jubilee Voices Ensemble for an OFFSITE Maryland Emancipation Day Celebration in Greenbelt, Maryland, Saturday afternoon. As part of the event, Jubilee Voices will present the history of “jubilee songs,” music that originated as spirituals sung by enslaved African Americans.

Read on for more details about these events plus other happenings this week, including upcoming classes, exhibitions, and social dances. We can't wait to see you at the Park soon, and as always, we appreciate your support!

As we approach the end of the year, now is the time to plan your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your IRA and/or other retirement accounts before the December 31 deadline. Did you know you can satisfy your RMD requirement by donating to the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture? This is known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), and it's a great way to support us! If you have any questions, please email development@glenechopark.org. Thank you for your generosity!

Support our year-end fundraising campaign by sponsoring a match! This opportunity is open to companies and individuals, and starts at $400. Your match supports the Park you love while incentivizing donors! Email development@glenechopark.org for more information.
