We have a wonderful week ahead of us, full of dance and movement, visual arts, music, and more! There are so many possibilities when you visit the Park this fall.
Swing your partner round the Bumper Car Pavilion with Bumper Car Squares! This Thursday, pick from two beginner lessons: Intro to Square Dancing with caller Will Mentor, or Intro to Flatfoot Dancing taught by a member of Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble. Plus enjoy live music by Stomp Rocket!
This weekend, there are ample opportunities to explore visual arts at the Park.
Saturday morning, Stone Tower Studio presents an online Artist Discussion with Chris Combs, a sculptural artist whose works both incorporate and question technologies. It's also the final weekend to catch Interior/Exterior Life, an exhibition in the Stone Tower Studio by visiting artist Erin Raedeke. In conjunction with her exhibition, Raedeke will teach a weekend workshop on painting with neutral colors. Don't miss your chance to catch New Work by Yellow Barn Studio and Gallery Founder and Director Walt Bartman, open this week only! Bartman will host an Artist Reception Saturday evening and an Artist Talk Sunday afternoon.
DanceFit: Shake Your Soul starts your weekend off with a burst of energy! No dance experience needed, just come ready to move & groove. Drop in to any or all of these Saturday morning exercise classes, meeting in the Hall of Mirrors Dance Studio.
The Washington Revels and the Puppet Co. team up on Saturday for a Make Your Own Dragon Workshop! Let your child's imagination soar at this fun-filled kids as they make their own puppet, then join the puppet parade around the Park with musical percussion instruments to play along the way.
Saturday afternoon, the Washington Conservatory of Music presents an OFFSITE concert at Cleveland Park Congregational United Church of Christ. The acclaimed Pressenda Chamber Players will perform masterwork chamber music by beloved classical composers.

Our fun and affordable social dances are open to the public with no prior experience or partner required. When we say we offer something for everyone, we're not kidding! Styles range from folk, blues, and contra to waltz, swing, tango and ballroom ... and more!
New dancers are always welcome, and a pre-dance, introductory lesson is included with admission. Most dances feature live music by renowned local and national bands.

DCLX is pleased to bring you a DCLXtra on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Featuring live music in the Spanish Ballroom by Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society! Ballroom Time presents a ballroom dance in the historic Spanish Ballroom on Sunday afternoon November 9, 2025. A beginner lesson in slow waltz will take place at 2:45pm, followed by dancing to live music provided by the Night and Day Band from 3:30pm to 6pm.

Ink Exploration with Landscape for all Levels Workshop

Mythical Clay Dragons and Beasts (Ages 6-12)

Nature-Inspired Art & Artists Workshop – Matisse (Ages 5-8)

Discover the world of nature-inspired art and artists with your child. Outdoor mini adventures in the park combined with classroom creativity. Learn about Henri Matisse and his use of art cutouts. We will collect fallen autumn leaves and study their shapes, practice tracing and cutting to create our own Matisse-inspired art cutouts. We will also learn a bit about why the leaves change color in the Fall.
