Thursday (1:00 pm - 8:00 pm) and Friday (8:00 am - 12:00 pm) are Parent-Teacher Conferences here at Indian Community School. Attending our Parent–Teacher Conferences is one way to be involved and help your child succeed. Specifically, our Conferences are a great opportunity to discuss your child's progress, share your child's strengths, gifts and their needs, and to work with our teachers on how to help your child be more successful.

On Thursday, we also have an Indian Taco Sale , compliments of our Family Resource Center and generous parent volunteers. But hurry... those yummy tacos usually sell out! You can purchase frybread, Indian Tacos, chips, soda and water from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm (while supplies last)!

Kanolukhwahsla Social Dance
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21ST
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
ICS GYM • K4-8TH GRADE

Our Sacred Gift for February is Love, or in the Oneida language, we express that as Kanolukhwahsla, meaning love, kindness and compassion. Our students will be celebrating this Sacred Gift at our Social Dance on Friday, February 21st from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm in the gym at Indian Community School.

We will begin by asking everyone to join us in wrapping our minds together as one, to acknowledge all of Creation for fulfilling their daily responsibilities here on earth. Then, we plan to share our love, kindness and compassion through sharing our new knowledge of the Ohuntsya:kekha Kanunya?shuha (Earth Dances).

Please come help us celebrate! Everyone is encouraged to wear their finest ribbon shirt/skirt/dress, moccasins and their brightest smile!
