Looking Ahead...

Annual Giving 2027:

A Season of Gratitude and Giving

Annual Giving 2027 is underway, and pledge packets were available after Sunday’s services. If you were not able to pick yours up, it was mailed to you. Last Sunday, Leslie Johnson shared what makes this parish meaningful to him and Robin. To hear his inspiring words, please click the video below and listen to 7:45-10:35 in particular. As you prayerfully consider your pledge for the coming year, may you reflect on the many blessings of our parish and how your generosity can help support the ministries and outreach that bring our faith to life.

Understanding the Bible

Another Christian Formation Series!

October 25, 12:30pm

Reading and understanding God's holy word as revealed in the Bible does not have to be complicated and should not be intimidating. Together, let's open it up and see what's in it, so it will be calm and more easily accessible, whether you are a lifelong believer or new to your journey and faith. Join the Rev. Steven Woolley on Sunday, October 25 from 12:30 to 1:30pm in the Parish Hall. It's a serious subject, but we will have fun wading into it.

Bruton Heritage Center

The iron weather vane that sits atop our steeple today is a reproduction that was made by Colonial Williamsburg blacksmiths and installed in 2011. The original weather vane was removed at that time for preservation. Originally, the weather vane was gilded and installed when the tower and steeple were added to the church in 1769-71 and would have been a striking landmark for the area. It was probably forged by James Anderson, Williamsburg blacksmith and armorer. Want to learn more about the iron weather vane and see it on display? Come visit Bruton Parish’s Heritage Center located in the front of the Bruton Parish House on the Duke of Gloucester Street. The Heritage Center is open daily from 11am to 5pm.
