Matthew 25:31-46

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and he will put the sheep at his right hand and the goats at the left. Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?’ And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’ Then he will say to those at his left hand, ‘You that are accursed, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not give me clothing, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ Then they also will answer, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not take care of you?’ Then he will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

Wednesday Night Suppers

No WNS this week! Our chef and volunteers are taking a well-deserved night off to rest after the incredible meal they prepared for us on Sunday. Our Regular Wednesday night activities will resume on November 12th.

Sign Up to Usher At FPC

We are currently in need of Sunday morning ushers, especially in our 11:15am Sanctuary service. This volunteer opportunity is a great way to meet people and only requires a friendly smile! More details on the website.

Wednesday Night Needs

Wednesday nights are the best at FPC, but we need your help! First, please sign up for the meals so we are sure to have enough food for everyone. We also need volunteers to make our dinners possible. Sign up online to collect money, set up, or clean up. You always get a free meal on the night you serve.

New Women's Bible Study

On November 3 and 4, our two Women’s Bible Study groups will begin a 4-week study on Adam

Hamilton’s The Journey: Walking the Road to Bethlehem. This book is available on Amazon. Please call the church office with any questions.

Sign Up for an Opportunity at FPC

Please visit our Sign-Ups page at hickoryfpc.org for all of our fall sign-ups. We have something for everyone! We are currently in need of volunteers to help clean up after Wednesday Night Suppers. This job is a great way to get to know others, and you will receive a free meal! Email ashlee@hickoryfpc.org with questions.

FPC Photos

We love pictures of everything going on around the church! Please share any pictures you have or take with beth@hickoryfpc.org.

FPC Book Club

We continue to grow and have engaging discussions. Our next meeting is on November 10 at 7pm in the parlor to discuss “All the Beauty in the World” by Patrick Bringley. All are welcome!

New Remote Locking System

We have a new keyless entry system on most of the doors into our main church/administrative building. Your church keys will still work for now, but our plan is to operate with pre-set times for our doors to lock and unlock. Please make sure your events at church are on the church calendar to ensure safe access for everyone. Contact Sarah (sarah@hickoryfpc.org) or Beth (beth@hickoryfpc.org) to add anything to the church schedule.

Realm

We invite you to sign up for Realm, our new church database that will allow you to have access to our online directory. Please know Realm is still new to us, and the online directory is now live. Please contact Beth Taylor (beth@hickoryfpc.org) if you need help signing up or have questions.
