Donut Pickup

We would like to continue to have donuts in our welcoming area on Sunday mornings until Memorial Day weekend when we begin summer Punch on the Patio. We need volunteers to pick up donuts the next two Sundays and have them at the church before worship begins. This is an easy and much-appreciated task. Sign up online to help!

College Graduates

This Sunday, May 11 is Baccalaureate Sunday, and we would also like to recognize our graduates with recent college and graduate degrees in our bulletin. Please send name, school, and degree to beth@hickoryfpc.org today.

Summer worship schedule

We began our 10am Worship as One schedule in May this year to allow us to enjoy some important May church events together. We’ll worship in the sanctuary on May 11 and alternate worship spaces through Sunday, August 31.

FPC at Hickory FC



Mark your calendars for Friday, May 16! We’ll meet at the Hickory FC game for another tailgate and to sit as a group. This will be a “Bring Your Own Everything” event, and everyone will purchase their own tickets this time. We’ll provide more details soon!

Meditation Groups

We have two meditation groups that meet on Thursdays. Rob Evans facilitates the Morning Silence group the first and third Thursdays of the month at 10am, and Katheryn Harlan and Todd Courtney facilitate the Beyond Belief group every Thursday at 6:30pm. Both groups will meet in the Session room.

FPC Book Club



We will discuss Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger next Monday, May 12 at 7pm in the parlor. All are welcome!

Young Life Glow Run

The 10th Annual Young Life 5K Debbie Hobart Memorial Glow Run is Saturday, May 17 at the Hickory Regional Airport. For more information and to register, visit cv.younglife.org.
