Thank you to our VBS participants
and neighbors!
We had a wonderful virtual Vacation Bible School last week! As one parishioner noted, there's something of interest for all ages!

If you were away from your computer last week, please be assured that these videos are available to watch at your convenience:

United Way of the Piedmont
Virtual Week of Caring
The UWP customarily has an annual Day of Action; however, they have expanded this effort to five days, Monday, June 22 - Saturday, June 27, and created a new name.

Volunteer online, at home or in person. For example, tomorrow (June 22), you are encouraged to Thank Essential Workers:
  • Create personalized notes for essential workers such as healthcare workers, sanitation crews, grocery store employees, and more to express your appreciation!

You'll have an opportunity to complete a website form, and the United Way of the Piedmont will do the rest. On Saturday, they would like for you to share your care on social Tag United Way of the Piedmont (@uwpiedmont) and use the following hashtags: #uwpvolunteers #liveunited #weekofcaring.

In the News
Earlier this month, Bishop Andrew Waldo shared a message from his nephew, Chaplain (Cpt.) Bo Waldo, on waiting. (Video produced by the Regimental Unit Ministry Team and published on June 3, 2020.)

Chaplain (Cpt.) Bo Waldo, Deputy, Regimental Chaplain, 75th Ranger Regiment, talks to us this week about waiting.

Waiting...the action of staying where one is or delaying action until a particular time or until something else happens...This video is a message of encouragement and hope for all people, regardless of faith or creed.

A Prayer of Trust
God, you sent your Son into the world, that we might live through Him. May we abide in His risen life so that we may love one another as He first loved us, and know the fullness of joy. Amen.
