THIS WEEK'S ANNOUNCEMENTS
Face masks are required to be worn at all Salt Lake County and Summit County ice rinks; other rinks in Northern Utah may follow suit so it may be best to bring face masks along when you are going to an away game. No mandate has been put in place for Utah County so masks are not required at the Peaks, though the Peaks will follow the city/county guidelines, if put in place in future.

COACH'S SPOTLIGHT: JOSH CHILD
Coach for 8U
| |
Coach Child started playing hockey when a few parents joined together to start a team when he was little. These hockey parents came to his school and announced they needed more hockey players. Coach Child and a few of his friends thought it sounded fun and signed up. The first few couple years, his team struggled but by the third year the Springville Devils won the championship. He fell in love with the game and hasn’t stopped playing ever since.
Fast forward a few years and he knew he wanted to get his kids into the sport. He absolutely loves coaching and watching all of the kids get better and better. When the temperature drops he and his family are always on the search for ice where they can skate outdoors.
