Visit the Photoworks Gallery this Friday for the opening reception of a new exhibit titled Under the Influence. The exhibition celebrates the influence and work of Frank P. “Tico” Herrera. Tico, who was a founding member of Photoworks, also taught advanced photography and printing at Glen Echo for more than 45 years.

Under the Influence

Opening Reception: September 10, 6 - 8pm

“Under the Influence,” is an exhibition which celebrates the influence and work of Frank P. “Tico” Herrera. Tico, a founding member of Photoworks, who taught advanced photography and printing at Glen Echo for more than 45 years, exerted a profound influence on the many photography students and practitioners who studied with him over the course of his tenure. His mastery of portrait and landscape genres and his unflagging humor will be featured along with the work of his former students.
