VIM TEAM BRINGS NEW HOME NEAR COMPLETION IN KENTUCKY
A team of 13 volunteers from Three Rivers District traveled to Dawson Springs, KY the week of May 7-11 to assist in the recovery efforts from last year’s tornado. The team of 4 ladies and 9 men, including 'first-timers', represented 5 different churches. The team was very busy on a 3 bedroom, 2 bath new build home. The team finished the ceiling insulation, prepared and hung all the drywall, gave most of the drywall a first coat of compound, painted/cut/installed all of the outside trim, cleaned and burned debris around the property, and rehung a kitchen window. On a second site, all electrical devices were installed. Praise be to the Lord for the opportunity to serve. John Hill, TR VIM Coordinator
Lighthouse Churches & Oasis Groups
An East Ohio Conference ministry initiative that offers opportunity for clergy and laity to share vision and mission as we continue our journey of discipleship.

Lighthouse churches are established congregations dedicated to the mission and the connection of The United Methodist Church. The clergy and laity of Lighthouse churches have accepted the call to welcome with enthusiasm and grace United Methodists who may be feeling dismayed and disoriented as they search for a new church home.

Oasis groups are intentional spaces where those on a pilgrimage searching for a new church home can connect, heal, and grow spiritually. The concept of pilgrimage aligns to us as United Methodists as we move towards God in our process of transformation.
Lighthouse churches hosting information meetings in Three Rivers are:
  • June 1- 7pm- Loudonville UMC (124 N Market St, Loudonville)
  • June 3- 10am- Gay St. UMC (18 North Gay St, Mount Vernon)

Visit the EOC website to view the list of EOC Lighthouse churches and Oasis groups. The site will be updated in the coming weeks with new information as it becomes available.
LEARN MORE ABOUT SPIRITUAL GIFTS
There are different spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; and there are different ministries and the same Lord; and there are different activities but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. A demonstration of the Spirit is given to each person for the common good.
