GOD’S SHEEP HEAR HIS VOICE
______________________
Over the years I have heard people say that they do not hear from God. Now, that is a serious statement, because John 10:3-4 says, “3 To him [the sheep] the porter openeth: and the sheep HEAR HIS VOICE, and he calleth his own sheep BY NAME, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: FOR THEY KNOW HIS VOICE.”
It is evident if you do not hear God’s voice then either you are not listening, or you are not his sheep. God cannot lie. If the word says you can hear him, that settles it.
Many often neglect spending time studying the word and praying. They are looking for a “voice” to lead them, but often it is the voice of prophets that are not hearing from God, or a preacher that preaches a sermon that is full of sugar, so the sheep are not being fed truth. These messages are from hirelings. They are not true shepherds of God. They are preaching what the people want to hear instead of what they NEED TO HEAR.
I am not against prophetic words because I move in that gift myself, but if all you are listening to is what prophetic voices are saying, you are missing out. God wants a personal conversation with his children. He wants this because he loves you.
Then, there are those that are constantly being caught up in what is going on in the world. From drones to chemtrails, from disastrous weather to chaos. If all you are doing is seeking information about these things and neglecting time with the Lord, then you are missing out. You learn about what is happening from God’s word, and from prayer. John 16:13 says the Holy Spirit will guide you into ALL TRUTH.
Hearing God’s voice is an act of your will. You must get quiet enough to hear Him. He is not going to shout at you because Holy Spirit, sent by the Father, is a gentle person. He speaks softly. Find a quiet place and just get still and listen. Talk to God like you would talk to your best friend, then wait to hear what He has to say.
Be careful what you are listening to my friend. God will speak if you listen, and he will NEVER contradict the Word of God.
