WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION

______________________

There are some scriptures that do not seem to make sense to our natural understanding. They might even appear to contradict other scriptures. One such scripture is found in Philippians 2:12b where it says, “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”

What? Work out salvation on your own? Isn’t it supposed to be a free gift from God’s grace? Yes, it is freely given by God. We do not earn salvation by “working” for it. So, what is a proper understanding for working it out ourselves?

Philippians 2:13 says, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”

It does not mean we have to work to be saved. It means that when we receive salvation, we must allow God, through his word and the Holy Spirit to “do his will” and to “do what pleases him in us.”  This is the growth process from a babe in Christ to full maturity. Even though God’s will is spoken to us, it is up to us to do it. This “working out our salvation” would be essentially the same process as sanctification, which is the setting apart of ourselves unto God and being daily purified by his grace.

This requires an act of our will. It does not just “happen.” We must make conscious choices. These choices to “do his will” and his “good pleasure” are the “working out our salvation” to conform ourselves to the image of Christ within us.

Our salvation does not depend on this. We are eternally saved through Jesus Christ. However, it will impact our heavenly reward. So, “work out [the reward] of your own salvation “by seeking and doing the will of God.”

Be like putty [clay] in the Potter’s [God’s] hand and let him mold you.

THE GOD OF PEACE

______________________

We should never look to the world for our inner peace. We should not look to any person, pastor, leader, or friend. Peace only comes from God.

In Philippians 4:7 it says, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

So, how do we get the peace of God?   We look at Philippians 4:9 that says, “Those things. Which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me do and the God of peace shall be with you.”

Paul was our example to learn from. If anyone had trials, tribulations, trouble, and tests, it was Paul. Yet, in all these things he had the “peace of God” in his life because he didn’t see this side of life as the end of his life. He knew that if he left his “earthly shell” he would be as it says in 2 Corinthians 5:6 and 8 that says, 6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, [our physical body] we are absent from the Lord: 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

Paul knew that no matter what happened the Lord was with him. This gave him the peace that passes all understanding. He did not have to figure it all out. He walked by faith, knowing God’s peace was with him.

How about you? Are you walking in that peace?

A PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

Be prepared is more than a clever motto. It should be a lifestyle that we live by. With all that has happened in the last five years, which includes chaos in the street, lockdown, masks, the jab and more, we should live in a constant state of listening and prepration. You cannot say that God hasn't spoken this through his true prophets. Rough days are ahead, and you need to be prepared. What I see coming makes 9-1-1 look like a Sunday School picnic. Stay focused. Listen more than ever. Be ready!

APOSTLE PAT MURRAY

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

6-19-2024

Regardless of what “IT” is you’re going through on life’s highway; Just remember God's Word says that IF you trust Him; “He shall bring IT to pass”. Yes, whatever your "IT" may be you just keep on trusting God to fix “IT” for you; Because your “IT is never too big for God to handle.

Word Of The Lord

Lord said. "You say you want revival, but you are not willing to give Me everything. Where is your heart? I look on the heart. My Word goes out before Me filling My children with the power to do My bidding. Only you have been found guilty of preserving My Word like it was to be protected. I am the One who can send forth My Word! I never said to hold onto My Word but to Proclaim it!Spread it far and wide. You have kept it hidden. So now you want to share it but you don't know how to anymore. So begin at the beginning. Come to Me. Repent of your sins! Confess to one another and be cleansed before Me. Then and only then will I come in power to bring the lost to you. For when your heart is humbled before Me, I know I can trust you to do that which I have called you to do."

Our Flag! HCC

Oh, the flag! How it waves,

As the Star-Spangled Banner is played.

It is beautiful to our hearts,

                           This stands for freedom,

                           And God’s enduring grace.

This anthem so very dear to us,

Our flag unfurls, yes, In God We Trust.

We’ll fight and know our God will stand with us.

This land we love, This America!

Oh come, bow down before the King.

He is our Savior, our Lord of everything.

Revive our Country, may it forever sing,

                           This America, This America!
