HOW TO SHARE THE GOSPEL

Have you ever hesitated to share the gospel of salvation because you were unsure how to go about it? A great way is to share scripture with them. Hebrews 4:12 says, “The word of God is quick (living, operative, alive) and powerful…”  Here are five key scriptures to quote. It is better if you can have the person you are sharing with read them.

Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Ephesians 2:8: “For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God.”

Romans 10:9-10: “⁹ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

It would be good to memorize these verses so that the Holy Spirit can bring them to your mind at the right time.

There are many other ways to witness. The main thing is for you to desire in your heart to just do it. Let the Holy Spirit be your guide and your inspiration.

After sharing with them, be sure to ask them if they are ready to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. That is an absolute must.

If you have never led anyone to salvation, determine that now is the time. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you and to provide the opportunity to do so. Perhaps you might even set a goal for it.

There is no greater joy or satisfaction than to lead someone to Jesus.

BEING THE UNIQUE YOU

When God made each of us, he gave us fingerprints that are not alike. No two people have the same fingerprints. When you think of the billions of lives that have lived, that sounds impossible, but it remains the truth. 

Often, people try to compare themselves with others. They base their worth according to someone else’s idea of worth. God would say to each of us that being the person you are, a unique one-of-a-kind individual, created in the image of God is where your worth should come from.

Don’t try to be someone that God didn’t make you to be. I have seen fathers push their sons to be basketball players like they were, but their sons were not made to be basketball players. The father was trying to live his life through the son, and that left the son little time to be his unique self.

Fathers and mothers should look at the gifts that each child has and help them to grow into them. God has a plan for each child, and His plan always is best.  There are well meaning parents that have messed their children’s lives up because they didn’t see the gifts God gave to their children. They tried to make them into something God didn’t plan for them.

Then there are parents that tell a child that they will never amount to anything. They destroy all hope that a child may have, and often these children end up in crime looking for someone that loves them. Be the kind of parent that speaks life over your children. Let them know that they are unique! 

Again, I must say, be the person that God intended you to be my friend. Don’t settle for a copy of someone else when he made you an original! If you have been wounded through words spoken over you, then cancel those words and speak what God says over yourself. Receive the uniqueness He has for you. You are a one of a kind original!

Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee: and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee…” This is true for each of us!
