TIC Emergency Preparedness Drill
This Shabbat, Saturday, June 18
Dear TIC Families,

As a part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment at TIC we will be conducting an emergency preparedness drill this Shabbat morning, June 18, in order to simulate a lockdown scenario. The drill will begin after morning services and will be led by Global Operations, our security consultants. Morning services will start early at 9:00 am. The emergency preparedness exercise will begin at 11:15 am with an overview of our lockdown procedures. The drill itself will begin at 11:30 am and we expect it to last 15 minutes and to end at 11:45 am. There will be time for questions and answers after the drill. The drill will not be broadcast on the livestream. Kiddush will be served at the conclusion of the drill.

In order to familiarize our youth with our lockdown procedures we will be holding two training sessions for children before the lockdown drill begins. The first session will be for children in grades K-5 and will take place from 10:30 - 10:45 am; the second session will be for children in grades 6-12 and will take place from 10:50 - 11:05 am. Both sessions will take place in the lower level conference room.

Please note that during the course of the drill there will be no access to TIC. The building will be closed and no one will be permitted to enter or exit the building, we are therefore requesting that no one come to TIC between 11:30 am - 11:45 am. If you need to leave before the drill please plan to do so before 11:30 am.

Children participating in youth services in our lower level classrooms will also participate in the drill. Our youth service leaders have been trained, using age-appropriate language, on what to do during a drill or real emergency and will guide our youth in a manner that is safe and comfortable. Youth services will begin at 11:00 am. If you do not wish for your child to participate in the drill this Shabbat please arrange to pick up your child from youth services before 11:15 am.
