The DEI “Pullback” Narrative is a Myth—Here’s the Truth

The headlines scream it: "Companies are pulling back on diversity, equity, and inclusion." The reality? Not so much.

🔹 65% of companies are maintaining their DEI budgets.

🔹 22% are increasing investment.

So why does it feel like DEI is on the chopping block? Because a single company scaling back makes for a juicier headline than 100 companies staying the course. Fear, outrage, and hot takes drive clicks—but they don’t tell the real story.

The truth is, DEI isn’t dying—it’s being drowned in misinformation. The goal is to erode public support by making us doubt the value of the work. If we don’t push back with clarity and conviction, the narrative shift will become a reality.

Let's Set the Record Straight -

✅ The opposite of DEI is discrimination.

✅ A true meritocracy only exists with DEI.

✅ Many of the rights and protections we enjoy exist because of DEI.

✅ DEI done right benefits everyone.
