TIDE Expansion 🚀 🌙
It's official - TIDE is expanding internationally! We'll be splitting our time between London & Austin.
FAQ:
- What sparked this idea?
- When we were in Singapore for SuperReturn Asia (check out these pictures here, here, and here), Tod Trabacco of Aksia suggested that we host a TIDE Monaco event. That's totally our vibe but I don't think I can pull off an event in Monaco anytime soon. So...I started socializing the idea of having an event in London while in London for the PEI Conference. And guess what?! Everyone I spoke to wanted us to host a TIDE London event!
- When will this move to London happen?
- In less than two weeks.
- But that's sooo soon!
- Yes, but so was our move from California to Texas. We picked up and moved three weeks after thinking about the idea of moving to Austin. If we want it bad enough, we get it done. We make money moves. 😉
- What will happen to TIDE's network in the US?
- TIDE's network will grow even bigger and stronger. Emerging and diverse GP's need access to capital not only from US LP's, but international LP's as well. We will be active in the same ways we have always been. In addition, we will be making an intentional effort to have more international LP's for TIDE SPARK 2024. As Kirk Sims of TX TRS has said, we have always executed on our plans. Watch and see. 😏

TIDE's Diary
We'll be attending a few events in the next few months:
- Oct 12-13: I will be at AIMA's Toronto event next week to rub elbows with our faves Scott Chan, Eduard van Gelderen and Ryan Bailey. Btw, Scott & Eduard have already confirmed they will visit us in London! I'm sure Ryan will visit too once we get a chance to discuss.
- Oct 12: While I'll be in Toronto, Carolina Siles will be representing TIDE at the WIIIN Annual Luncheon in LA.
- Oct 14-16: I'll be in LA for Angel FC's last game of the season. I will also be meeting with SoCal LP's & GP's. Special thanks to Kara Nortman, Founder of Angel City, for the invite! Kara spoke on the Sports Panel at TIDE SPARK 2023. Kara is also a Managing Partner at Monarch Collective which invests in women's sports, teams, leagues, and adjacent revenue streams. On a side note, Angel City investors include Natalie Portman, Alexis Ohanian, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Garner, Eva Longoria, Jay Shetty and more. Check out the HBO series on Angel City.
- Oct 18: I'll be officially in London!
- Nov 3: TIDE will have representation at Black Women in Asset Management's Annual Conference.
- Nov 6-7: I'll be speaking at SuperReturn NYC. There'll be a few events going on for sure.
- Nov 11: I'll be hosting a small TIDE London Ladies drinks at my place! It's a tiny (but super cute!) studio but I did the math - I *think* I can hosts 40 people standing up. 😅
- Nov 14-17: A bunch of us will be in Zurich for SuperInvestor.
- Dec 7: TIDE will have representation at 100 Women in Finance's Global FundWomen Week.
- Jan 23-25: I *might* attend IPEM Cannes. I've been curious about this conference.
- Jan 23 - Feb 1: I'll be speaking at iConnections' Global Alts 2024.
