In February, the India Group began a new & successful partnership with Delhi-based physician Dr. Shelly Batra. Dr. Batra has agreed to review diagnostic medical records for more serious issues & provide recommendations for specialists, treatment clinics, & hospitals. Her consultation efforts have already allowed us to provide more effective medical care for our families. Dr. Batra is a renowned Gynecologist, Obstetrician, Advanced Laparoscopy Surgeon, & recipient of the 2014 Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneurship Award. She has dedicated her life to helping the vulnerable & impoverished over the past two decades, providing free consultations & performing pro-bono surgeries. She co-founded Operation ASHA in 2005. Her vision, clear-sighted goals, & unwavering dedication has prompted policymakers, health practitioners, & investors from both sides of the Atlantic to join the fight against tuberculosis.

Currently, two of the mothers in our Delhi families are receiving early intervention prenatal care & we’re providing medical care for two cases of malaria/typhoid fever among the families.

The Children’s Burn Foundation has agreed to work with us for a third time to provide surgery for a child who has suffered deforming burns.
