TIG Partner and EVP Brian Wyman is headed to Anaheim for the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention (IGA) in just a few short weeks. In addition to leading the firm’s Las Vegas office as well as its iGaming and sports wagering practice, Brian’s specialty is helping clients develop creative and innovation ways to improve financial performance through data. His recent work in tribal country highlights the depth and breadth of his experience:
-
Sports Betting Business & Strategy Planning for Treasure Island Casino, Prairie Island Indian Community
-
Casino and Resort Operations Review for Four Winds Casino, Pokagon Band of Potawatomi
-
Gaming Market Assessment, Highest and Best Use Study, and Amenity Assessment for Desert Diamond Casino expansion and new Far West Valley facility, Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise
Brian has led iGaming market analysis and planning for multiple tribal clients across 12+ states, and provided general business support -- assistance with GM searches, wage and benefits studies, margin analysis and related recommendations -- to multiple confidential tribal clients.
“Relationships in tribal gaming feel far more personal and far less transactional than in many other areas of business,” says Brian. “Tribal gaming in many places feels like a family business, and I love the authentic interactions and bonds built.”
To that end, one of the things Brian most looks forward to at IGA is the scale of the show. “Everyone is there, but somehow it feels incredibly intimate,” he says. “Unlike the whirlwind intensity of some events, IGA manages to feel relaxed, with ample time to spend with everyone.” Some of the issues he’s following closely right now include iGaming legislation, California sports betting, gaming in Texas, and the increasing desire of tribal operators to build large-scale, non-gaming amenities. Set up a meeting with Brian on-site to discuss these and other topics, and how TIG can support your business objectives.
