Declutter Social
Get ahead of the Cossitt Spring Clean-Up Week by learning to Declutter by Design and have a chance at winning a complimentary 1-hour in-home design or consultation and written plan from Spacelift Design.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by the clutter or looking to find more zen in your current space, join us on Thursday, March 4 at 8:00pm and learn how to organize from an interior designer’s perspective. Susan Larson of Spacelift Design will explain how to declutter and re-arrange problem areas in your home to find greater comfort with being there. Susan understands organization isn’t everyone’s thing. She presents realistic, easy-to-maintain techniques to give you more space to breathe and relax in your home.
Once registered, you can send questions and/or photos and she will answer as many as possible during the presentation. Participants will receive a goodie bag ahead of time, including a raffle ticket for a complimentary 1-hour in-home design or consultation and written plan follow-up from Susan.

STEM EXPO 2021 is going Virtual!
The Science Center’s annual District 102 STEM EXPO, our celebration of all things science and technology, is going virtual! On Saturday, March 6th, via the internet, EXPO will showcase the talents of students in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and creative Making. We cannot meet in person but we can still showcase and share our STEM projects virtually.
Interested students can choose from one of the four project categories and create a STEM project that will dazzle and amaze others while learning about a scientific concept.
S = Science experiment or exploration
T = Technology project
E = Engineering project or invention
M = Maker-style project
- Have you tried an interesting experiment at home?
- Have you invented something new?
- Have you used technology to create something awesome?
- Have you explored or learned about a science topic or idea?
All students will receive a participation award. All the details haven’t been ironed out yet, but there will be an online presentation for families, friends and the community, as well as presentations to officials via Zoom.
