TIME Organization and Howard County School System Partnership
The Howard County School System (HCPSS) School-Based Mental Health Services (SBMHS) focuses on enhancing student well-being and removing barriers to mental health treatment by providing therapy in the schools. TIME Organization began working on the HCPSS SBMHS
program in November of 2019. We initially started with supporting 6 schools and quickly gained an additional 6 due to the exemplary services TIME Organization provides. This is double the
amount of schools any other mental health agency is supporting in Howard County.
We currently have a total of 9 clinicians providing services for the HCPSS SBMHS including, Betsy Roush, Jenny Carchman, Laura Shulgold, Maddie Welsh, Mike Bowling, Morgan Jefferson, Niya Waters, Robinson Giraldo and Stacia Hines. TIME clinicians, school social workers, student services staff, teachers and school administration collaborate to support the academic achievement and social emotional well-being of students.
TIME clinicians have already served over 150 clients and their families. During the fall, TIME Organization is partnering with Mayfield Woods Middle and Horizon Foundation to put on a virtual 5K to promote mental health awareness. Keep a look out for more details.
