CHAMBER AMBASSADORS

You've seen how much fun we have when our crew of Ambassadors in their blue coats go out and make visits to our member businesses! Do you want to join us? Time requirement is the last Thursday of each month for 2 hours - typically visiting 3 member businesses from 1ish to 3ish. It's a great way to meet and see other businesses in our community and most of all, show them our love!

I bet many of you have never been in the City Council Chambers and they have done some resituating of offices there, so will be good to see and say hello to our City Administrator and staff! Thanks for stepping up on short notice!

This is a great time to network with other community leaders. There is always something new learned and some new connection made and, of course, coffee and treats aren't a bad way to start the day either!

THE AFTERNOON OF INSPIRATION LAST WEEK WAS TRULY THAT!

Hope that those of you who attended went home with a nugget of information that you are putting to use. One thing I am doing, is purposely setting aside 10 minutes of my morning to send a text or write a little note to someone. It's about being intentional with our relationships!

Next year we already have our own local singer/celebrity Kat Perkins on the docket! It was wonderful to see how many of you have come to all of the events so be sure to pencil in January 12th of 2027!

I can't be more excited to share that River Inn restaurant in Hanover is now a member! It has been my favorite restaurant for over 20 years, to enjoy with my family. As their website says - a local favorite since forever! The building itself is over 130 years old!

The food is top notch and the service is beyond amazing! That's what sets them apart! No matter where you are - outside in the outdoor patio, near the firepits or playing some bags with your kids, in their private heated igloo, in their newly built smaller bar/eating area, or in the main restaurant. The servers find you and make sure you are taken care of from start to finish.

I always be sure to get there and reserve a half rack of their fall off the bone BBQ ribs, but they have prime rib every night, dinner specials from 4 to 10, a main menu that boasts everything from steaks to wraps to burgers to their infamous pizza. They offer weekly lunch specials after 11 and are now serving breakfast on Saturdays and Sunday mornings from 9 to 11. Think breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy paired with a Bloody Mary or Mimosa!

The crew at River Inn also offers take out and do catering! They are truly a full-service restaurant where service is the key!

WRIGHT COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP ANNUAL MEETING CELEBRATED A FEW OF OUR OWN!

Was fun to see Functional Industries receive the High Economic Vitality Business of the Year award. They are such an asset to our community! Congrats and well deserved!

The Outstanding Citizen of Wright County went to our own Bo Nelson. Bo has been a member through ServePro and now works with our member Buffalo Collision. He has served as a Monticello firefighter, sat on many boards and has a heart for service, especially those in recovery. Thanks for all you do Bo!

I know many of you host the CEO students from Wright Tech. They all shared their business plan with us! Thank you for hosting - I give you credit and give them credit for getting up early every morning to make business visits!

We got to listen to one of our Afternoon of Inspiration speakers, Dustin James. He is always so full of positive energy!

HAVENWOOD OF BUFFALO

LOOKING FOR LOCAL ENTERTAINERS & SPEAKERS!

Come share your stories and talents with Havenwood residents. They welcome musicians, vocalists, acoustic performers, magicians, comedians. storytellers, cultural performers, poets and other creative artists who enjoy engaging with seniors.

Not a poet - how about sharing your knowledge? You can share your experience as a business owner, veteran, educator, historian, first responder, non-profit leader or anyone with a unique hobby or life experience. The Band of Brothers meets every 2nd and 4th Friday over coffee and enjoy a relaxed conversation focused gathering.

WRIGHT COUNTY WAVE SWIM CLUB SWIMATHON FEBRUARY 1st

Member, WC Wave Swim Club is a youth non-profit organization of more than 80 swimmers ages 6-18 from all over the county. They are hosting a 2nd annual swimathon at the Middle School pool. Your donations/sponsorship help provide the funding for the swimmer's equipment, training opportunities and more. The club goal is $20,000! Maybe your company provide a match!

POLAR PLUNGE 2026 - ARE YOU READY TO MAKE THE JUMP?

You might recognize some faces here as our own DoJo crew takes the leap! Always a great fundraiser and great show of support to the Special Olympics! We have 103 jumpers already registered and working toward the $65,000 goal! They are only at $4500 - so jump in and register!
