Fulton East, developed by Parkside Realty, Inc., built by Clayco and designed by Lamar Johnson Collaborative (LJC), recently announced global flooring manufacturer Tarkett will move into the 10th floor of the new-construction building at 215 N. Peoria St. in Chicago’s Fulton Market District.

Taylor Johnson client Fulton East, a 12-story, 90,000-square-foot showroom, office and retail building at 215 N. Peoria St. in the heart of Chicago’s Fulton Market District, recently made headlines for drawing the latest showroom to relocate from the Merchandise Mart (theMART). In Q1 2022, global flooring manufacturer Tarkett plans to move its showroom from theMART to the 10th floor of Fulton East, where it will occupy nearly 11,000 square feet. With floor-to-ceiling windows, city vistas, 9-by-27-foot outdoor terraces and access to a private 8,000-square-foot rooftop park, Fulton East offers tenants plenty of space – including open-air options – for networking functions and meetings. And for Tarkett and other design industry businesses, the Fulton Market location helps build connections with the broader design community, which increasingly views the live-work-play neighborhood as Chicago’s design hub. TJ-led media outreach on news of Tarkett’s pending move earned placements in CoStar, Chicago Business Journal, REjournals, The Real Deal Chicago, REBusinessOnline, Floor Daily, Floor Trends and more. Space remains available for lease at Fulton East, whose tenant roster includes Naperville-based Calamos Investments, which will occupy the top two floors in Q1 2022.
